ABC Children's Center at San Diego

We’ve had such a great experience with ABC Children's Center! The teachers are so kind, patient, and really care about the kids. Our child looks forward to going every day, which says a lot. We’ve seen so much growth—socially, emotionally, and even with early learning skills. The staff does a great job keeping us in the loop with updates and photos, which we really appreciate. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into the activities and environment. We’re so happy we found this place—it truly feels like a second home for our little one. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a warm, caring daycare!

We’ve been sending our kids to ABC Children’s Center for the last 2.5 years, and we’ve had such a great experience. Our kids genuinely love going every day, and it’s amazing to see how much they’ve learned, everything from language development and manners to everyday life skills. But what really sets ABC apart is how much the teachers truly care. You can feel it in the way they interact with the kids and the families. When our twins were born, our oldest was already at ABC, and the staff were incredibly supportive during that big transition. With so much changing at home, ABC was one of the few constants in his life, and that stability made a world of difference. Sending our twins there was an easy decision. We’ve also always felt completely confident in the safety and well-being of our kids. There’s great transparency and communication between us and the teachers, which gives us so much peace of mind. We’re so grateful to have found a place where our kids are not only learning and growing, but are loved and supported every step of the way. ABC has felt like an extension of our family.

ABC children’s has been a part of our lives for the past 8 years- both my daughter and son attended for the first 4+ years from infancy to preschool. I can’t say enough amazing things about ABC. They have truly felt like family to us. And the comfort in knowing my kids were in good hands while we were at work, has been one of the greatest gifts to me and my husband. The teachers are so welcoming and friendly with the kids, and they also set a good foundation for learning for my daughter entering elementary school. (She’s now in 3rd grade) the different activities that the classrooms offer foster a learning environment that my kids have thrived in. The garden and chickens have been my son’s favorite this year. :). The classrooms monthly family hour also are a great opportunity to touch base with the teachers and get to know other parents and classmates. Can’t say enough good things about ABC.

This place is truly a family!! In 2021, our son (then 2.5) started in the Koala class. As a teacher, I appreciated the frequent updates of pictures, nap times, and meal completion via a family app. It made me feel connected to my son throughout the day. Their communication is incredible, whether it be through the app or via email. My son was welcomed each day with a smile and given exciting, stimulating activities, while also great structure. He even learned life skills such as cleaning dishes, folding clothes, preparing his nap time area, etc. We chose to keep him at ABC for their TK program and we are so glad we did. When he went to kindergarten in Poway he was MORE than prepared in every way! I found out I was pregnant with twins in 2022 and immediately reached out to reserve spots for them after my maternity leave. They started much younger than my son (7 months) and were given exceptional love and care by all staff. They have made so many friends in their two years there, and I am so appreciative. My son still comes to visit when we pick up the twins and I love seeing his relationship with the staff continue to blossom. They check in on him frequently, give him lots of hugs and love, and he’s always excited to tell them his life updates. ABC truly is a family and a community, and I am so grateful for their amazing team!!

We are so thrilled to have found ABC Children’s Center through our friends! We were looking for a great preschool program with plenty of opportunity for social skill development/play, as well as stimulating early academics by wonderful teachers, and actually found it here. The school staff is amazing. Our son absolutely loves his teachers, as well as the office staff. He talks about his teachers in a way that truly demonstrates how supported and comfortable he feels at ABC. Our son amazes us with new skills and knowledge everyday from ABC. Skills that he refuses to work on with me at home (a former teacher) have been developing with ease at school. The pictures provided throughout the day on the parent app provide opportunities to ask about specific projects, toys, friends, etc. that we have seen, as opposed to the vague, “What did you do in school today?” that we all heard growing up. Instead, our conversations are guided by the pictures to provide a prompt for our son, such as, “Did you learn about Saturn today?” or “I think I saw a picture of a caterpillar in your class today. Can you tell me about it?” It’s clear that all student areas are set up to foster independence and provide choices throughout the school day. The classrooms are comfortable, organized, and set up in a way that’s conducive to learning and independence. Their monthly “Family Hour” provides us with the opportunity for our son to proudly show us the classroom and what he likes to do. He loves to introduce us to his friends, and shows us what’s new (the sensory tables and are always a huge hit with all of the kids, including siblings!). The outdoor space is also wonderful. There are little play houses, stores, a water station, grass area, large sand play area, fun places to climb and play, etc. My son is a big fan of the trike track, but it is also fun to see him doing other activities and games with his friends. We would recommend ABC to anyone looking for a special, safe place for their kids to belong when they aren’t in their care. We couldn’t be happier to have our son enrolled for preschool, and look forward to sending our daughter next year.
