My husband loves to go to Active Age. The staff is very caring and friendly, starting with the owner, Chris, and the receptionist, Cindy, who welcomes everyone with a smile. Liz, the nurse, is fantastic; she is caring and very helpful. She always makes herself available to talk to me.
The chef will accommodate any dietary needs. The calendar is always full of activities. A great benefit is that they provide transportation, which relieves the stress of driving your loved one. Chris and Carol are very friendly and helpful. I am glad we chose Active Age.

Activage is an absolutely amazing place. Cindy warmly greets everyone as they walk enter. All family, as they make clients feel, is escorted to the brightly painted room where they spend their day, singing, dancing, crafting, and eating. Chris the owner is always available. The staff keeps everyone hopping. Bo is my husband's new girlfriend but he loves everyone there. They even play games with prizes! Every week there is a planned activity list sent to your home so you know what is lined up. There is transportation for some areas and the VA covers Vets. Come try it out if you are interested. You can sort of do a try before you buy. Trust me you will be back.

Visiting Active Age was such a fun experience! The ambience and vibe make you feel like you're on vacation. The bright, colorful, and entertaining atmosphere truly creates a one-of-a-kind experience. It's clear that the clients attending are completely engaged in whatever fun activity is happening that day.
The staff were incredibly friendly and showed genuine care toward the clients, which was wonderful to see. One standout feature was their cooked-to-order food, which definitely sets them apart. If you have the chance, I highly recommend taking the time to visit and see it for yourself!

I highly recommend AA to anyone who wants to socialize, be busy with activities, playing games, and have fun. As a caregiver to my husband who has Parkinson Dementia this is really a wonderful place. The staff is awesome. Kris the owner is around and upbeat. The best part about AA is the drop in aspect. You can pay by the hour or purchase 50 or 100 hours a month. Your loved one will be well cared for and want to keep coming back. Caregivers need a break and AA can provide that. Give it a try.

We were apprehensive about bringing Dad ..he has very mild cognitive impairments & does NOT appreciate being patronized. However, he's recovering from stroke & not ready for
" the real world ". It seemed a good idea, a logical next step for an 82 y.o. with a walker, post rehab & PT. .to keep busy & exercise.
We visited options.. he had a partial day..& later we signed up at ActivAge.
We are in week 2. & he leaves me standing there in the lobby to get in!
I've received pictures/ video of the folks enjoying activities..he is all smiles!
We're opting for the showers twice a week, which takes a LOAD OFF ME.. daughters insisting their father " really soap up " is not conducive to a happy household!!
I drop him off by 10..he has exercise, lunch, activities and they drop him off at home in the afternoon. ( Chris/driver texts me with ETA & always brings dad to the door) He's able to let himself in if necessary & be alone a couple hours till we get home . He's usually ready for a nap..we have dinner later.
Being able to get to work, errands, etc is priceless. Honestly..a little peaceful quiet at home is well needed..caregiver burnout is REAL.
Less time being the one who is making him shower, wash hands, exercise..gives more time to be a family!
Edit..today. me- how was your day..
Him- AWESOME.!!
