Aldrich School

I originally was planning to send my eldest son to RPS preschool, but ended up switching to Aldrich. This was a wonderful decision. Not because RPS doesn't have a wonderful program (I'm sure it does), but Aldrich really is so unique. I love their focus on outdoor play - my kids (I now have 2 kids enrolled) get to run around outside on their tree-shaded natural playscape before settling in to their lesson for the day. This really helps my energetic boys focus. When I drop my kids off, the teachers light up because they're genuinely excited to greet my kids. But not just mine, they light up for each of their students and it's a genuine reaction. When I pick my kids up, I'm greeted by the directors who run the school because this is a local, nonprofit preschool, and there are no corporate offices. I'm just so grateful I chose this school - it really is so special!

I was told to take my child home because he was not behaving well (pushing other children). He was also threatened to be out of the school if his behavior does not improve. What is the school is for if you can’t manage a children?

We have our oldest son here and have just enrolled our other son here for next fall. This is our second year at Aldrich, and I can tell you that this is a very well run school. The teachers are outstanding. My son looks forward to going to school here and always has, no anxiety at all. It is a very safe felling school. It is a very nice building that was recently remodeled, and you can tell they have been doing this for a long time. I highly recommend this school for anyone's children! My sister and I also attended Aldrich more than 30 years ago and it was great then too! You can't go wrong here.

Aldrich Nursery school provides a loving, nurturing environment for children, and I feel so lucky to be a part of this special place. We are currently in our 5th consecutive year as an Aldrich family with 2 of our 3 children, and our 3rd will be attending as soon as he’s old enough! Aldrich takes a play-based approach to learning and provides a rich, creative environment for kiddos of all abilities. The teachers are truly top-notch and we’ve encountered nothing but gentleness, kindness and an obvious genuine investment in our children’s best interest. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this school!

All three of my children have attended Aldrich. It feels like our second home. We feel like we are part of a community having gone there. We have made some life long friends there and they have fostered a love for learning with my children. My kindergartener and 2nd grader love to come back and visit the school to see the school and the teachers.
