American Montessori Academy

There are not enough kind words I can say about AMA! We absolutely LOVE it here! It has been 5 months since our boys joined the Blue 💙 room and all three teachers are truly amazing! They are patient, smart, kind, loving so fun to chat with! I called 6 schools total and from the moment the director (Michele) and I started discussing the program, I knew I wanted to set up a visit. My wife and I went the next week and after meeting with Miss Tracy (head teacher), we paid reservation fees the very next day! We are excited our boys still have 3 more years here!! They encourage camaraderie amongst the staff and other parents! I always feel in the loop and know that my kids are safe and in great hands! Thank you AMA!!!

AMA is amazing. Both my girls are in blue class. This is my oldest's second year. Teachers are calm, caring, polite and kind to each and every child. I had to write this review, because the one and only other review commenting on yellow class' teacher, couldn't be farthest from the truth. Ms. Cathy is an angel. Highly recommend this school for it's teachers, environment and philosophy.

We love AMA! I have a daughter in Yellow Class and she is thriving and ADORES her teachers. This is a true Montessori and the teachers are very experienced. They have all of the traditional Montessori jobs and more. The teachers model kindness and respect, and the children follow suit. They welcome inquiry (3-6 year olds have many questions) and when appropriate/possible, a teacher shows them how to find the answer. For example my daughter has been repeatedly asking if it’s her birthday, but instead of getting annoyed, Miss Cathie showed her the calendar and they counted together the days until her birthday. I feel so good leaving my daughter in a happy, kind, magical, nurturing, environment.

I went here as a kid, even though I always got in trouble I still had fun and made a lot of friends. Not sure how much its changed but they taught me a lot of things I still use today. Definitely a place you should send your kid if you want to give them a childhood to remember.

Our son goes there and he loves it. He doesn't want to leave when we pick him up. He goes to yellow class and we have a great experience with every teacher there. Highly recommend this place for kids.
