My little has been going here since he was 10 months old. After a horrific experience at a previous daycare, I was scorned and scared to endure another experience- but to my delight, Mrs. Lensa and her crew have continued to provide excellent care beyond belief to my son. Mrs. Lensa is far from ā€œjust a directorā€. She’s involved in all the classrooms, ensuring students and parents feel welcomed always. We love Apple Tree!

This place deserves 0 stars! Back in September of 2023, I had to find another daycare because my son passed his speech eval and no longer required services. I found Apple Tree because they were the only place who had an opening for my son at the time when it came to October. Since then, I have been unable to reason with him. There have been many days where I’ve had to call or message asking about meals and naps and accidents. They have never been great at keeping us parents updated on naps, meals, and accidents. When I called at the start I was told about the app to look on which I would say there is no updating on that going on. Updates only came up after the fact that I addressed no updates were there. My child would also come home with bruises and scratches and that too would not be updated. I only have a few moments of documentation where there were accidents posted, but most of the time, I’ve had to ask and I get told they don’t know or they weren’t in the room when it happened. There is a lot of yelling that happens and I’ve mentioned this to Lensa. The one who yells at the children is still there! I picked my son up one day crying in the bathroom because teacher was yelling at a kid in front of him. A huge problem that set it off for me was they accidentally gave my son whole milk while he’s dairy sensitive. We started with lactose then to soy, and on a phonecall, I was told I was remembering it wrong when I told them what milk I asked them to start with. The most recent problem that got my son kicked out was potty training. He is now 3 and I’ve been potty training at home and trying all kinds of things, but they would not be patient with him. They were tired of his 2-3 accidents a day and said by message they were afraid that it would be his last day on 6/27/2024. Initially, I told them to wait as I didn’t feel he was ready, but then they said when he moves up to the 3-4 year old room it’s a non potty training room. I decided to have him try at home and at daycare. The first day they kept him in the same underwear with a diaper under it which is not what I asked. We ended up doing underwear all day at daycare and they gave it a month. I told them numerous times and when my son first started that when the daycare that I originally wanted had a spot, he would go there. Daycares are hard to find with a spot open. I am left with no daycare for my son. I would NOT recommend this place. They do not follow DHS and they don’t handle disagreements with parents very well. If you don’t see eye to eye with them, they will make it harder for you and eventually encourage you to find another place. They couldn’t wait and decided to kick him out. I am on a voucher too.

My little one attends Appletree Academy and has for over a year. I almost passed this place up because of lack of reviews. We are so happy we gave it a chance. The owner is very involved and is always super friendly. My daughter never has a bad day! We love Appletree Academy!

I was scheduled for a daycare tour at 4. I took off work early and drove from the University of Arkansas to tour this daycare. No one was at the front desk, I called no one answered, no one met me. I am pregnant and tired and irritated that I chose to take off work to tour this daycare šŸ˜’.
