Appleton YMCA

Love all that this location has to offer but please consider expanding the family locker room. It was crowded, dingey, and just a super stessful and unpleasant locker room to be in on a busy day. Not enough lockers, no benches or hooks to set stuff on. Swimsuit ringer machine was out of order. Also would have appreciated sanitary wipes/sprays in the changing/bathroom stalls as it just felt gross to have to walk in there with floors and walls being wet from the person before.

The Downtown Appleton YMCA is very nice. We are just getting back into going to the Y since Covid. Pre-Covid, my son loved the homeschool phy Ed classes. Now he likes playing basketball at the Y. It is a safe environment and clean. I gave it 4 stars because it is expensive unless you qualify for a discount. There is a parking garage across the street.

I love this ymca, it's the best! the guys here are super fine. The workers are so nice. My favorite 2 workers are Melissa and a bald guy that plays volleyball with me. Give them a raise they need more money and they do such a good job doing their job! It's very clean and the couches are very comfortable in the lobby 👌 I really recommend this ymca. Also if you do go there look for Melissa she is my bestie she is amazing 👏 so kind, thoughtful, and compassionate. They gyms for working out are very nice 👍. That'd is why I recommend going here the workers are alpha and sigma🤭

NOT worth it have the time when you go swim some old ass lady's take up the whole pool and if your under 19 you can't even bring more than ONE person with you they also give only 12 guess passes if you get a membership ONLY 12 for the whole YEAR

I visited this location for the first time tonight. When I walked in the guy and lady at the front desk ignored me and was very unwelcoming. The older guy held a long conversation with some other guest that walked in behind me and proceeded to help someone else before acknowledging me. Neither of them ever even looked up at me. I started to leave but needed to get my workout in. Other than that, the facility is very spacious with multiple gyms to use. It’s a bit of a maze and you will get lost a few times.
