Avondale Preschool Academy

We have been so thrilled with the program that Avondale provides. Both of my daughters have attended here and had different teachers. We have loved both of the teachers and are so impressed with how invested the teachers are in their lives and their learning. We love them so much! The reading program has been amazing! My elder daughter was an bit advanced and her teacher adapted and progressed her to the level she needed to be at, rather than holding her at the preschool level. She ended up skipping kindergarten and I fully credit that in part to having a teacher that met her at her level and found ways to challenge her. I also love that science and art are fun and seem to correlate regularly with the letters, shapes and numbers they are learning too. There is so much reinforcement of the core curriculum that it seems to be impossible to not progress at an incredible rate. We love Avondale, the staff, and the amazing program they offer!

We have had a wonderful experience with Avondale. My three-year-old learned to write her name very quickly in her first couple of months of school. She knew her letters before she started school, but now she knows the sound each one makes as well. She has made friends and is learning better social skills. Her teachers have made her feel very comfortable from the start, something I was worried about with my timid child. She gets excited to go to school each week. We also enrolled her in tumbling which she loves too! We would recommend Avondale to anyone looking for a school for their child.

We have loved our experience with Avondale! My oldest son is now in Kindergarten and he is testing well above the average level. I have Avondale to thank for that. With their amazing reading and sight words programs in the 4 year old class, my son excelled with learning and reading and has retained what he learned into Kindergarten. His wonderful teachers during his time here were a huge part of his progress. They were kind, caring, and supportive! They helped make learning fun! My youngest son is in the 2.5 class right now and is loving it too. He is already learning so much. He is more social, he can recognize some letters already, and he can count from 1-25! That is all thanks to his amazing teacher! I love that they already introduce science in this class. It is his favorite time during class! I will always recommend Avondale to anyone who has preschool aged children. Their teachers are amazing and supportive. Their curriculum is excellent and truly helps children learn letters, shapes, and words! Their facility is so cute with each room being decorated with an adorable theme! Thank you for starting my children’s learning journeys and making learning fun!

My daughter has been attending Avondale for a couple years now, and I can’t say enough good things about it. I am really impressed with the programs and how much my daughter has learned over the course of her time there. The teachers have been so kind, patient and accommodating. I’ve also had her enrolled in the dance program, and they’re so incredibly organized and fun. My daughter looks forward to school so much and I attribute that to the environment that Avondale has created. I highly recommend this preschool, and look forward to my other kids attending.

We have absolutely loved our experience at Avondale. Not only do we adore our teacher, Mrs. Jensen, we appreciate the way they structure class time and the curriculum. Our daughter had already had a year and a half of preschool in Idaho and I was nervous she would get bored in another year of preschool before Kindergarten (her classmates in Idaho were entering Kindergarten this year and she is too young). But she has been able to thrive at Avondale. I’ve never felt pressure to push her (each kid gets to go at their own pace) but she absolutely loves reading and has been able to excel in leaps and bounds in everything like handwriting, sight words, sounding out new words, counting, and math. The science experiments and lessons have opened new worlds to her and the songs she comes home singing bring so much delight when she sings and teaches them to us. Plus, she has lots of social interactions and growth with other kiddos. Other bonuses: the carpool lane is easy to use (and a fun way to interact with the teacher each day) and the dance and tumbling classes are super convenient onsite.
