Baby Steps

Our son has been at Baby Steps for over a year and he loves it! Za is so great with the kids. She’s organized, communicative, clean, and compassionate. She creates toy activities for them to do everyday (building towers, trains, puzzles, etc.), does story time, has dance parties, outside play time, and more. She really understands and enjoyed working with babies and toddlers. Her nursing experience helps us to feel confident that our son with food allergies and asthma is in good hands. I highly recommend Baby Steps!!

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Za as our daycare teacher and care provider. She is truly the best of the best and the only person I would trust with my baby or toddler. Za runs a small daycare with just six children, and she is an amazing one-person team. Her background as a formal nurse makes her exceptionally attentive to the physical needs of the children, and her expertise in child development is invaluable. Za closely monitors each child's growth and milestones, and her intuition has been spot-on, providing us with beneficial recommendations for overcoming challenges with our toddler. She offers a clean and fun environment, organic meals, age-appropriate stimulation, and excellent communication, keeping us well-informed about our child’s progress and any issues that arise. Above all, Za's deep passion and patience in working with kids are truly remarkable. It’s clear she loves what she does, and this passion shines through in every interaction with the children. Her love, patience, and positivity are incredibly moving and rare. Our toddler is thriving under her care, and we are immensely grateful for Za’s daycare and the kind and wonderful human being she is!

Our daughter was with Za for two and a half years, and our son has just started. Za is both professional and personable; from the beginning we felt comfortable leaving our daughter with her, and during COVID-19 there is no one else we would trust to keep our one-year-old son safe and healthy. Za provides great meals, activities for the kids, and is extremely attentive. Additionally, she is a trained nurse, so that has provided us with an extra layer of confidence. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Za is kind and cheerful, and the kids (and their parents) love her.

We are very happy we found this place and our daughter had a wonderful experience there for 1.5 yrs . Za is a wonderful person and she takes very good care , nurtures them very well and is very friendly with kids. We started Za's daycare when my daughter was 18 months old and she made sure the transition was very smooth . She has 3 different outdoor play areas , provides organic meals , keeps the place very clean and has a very enriching environment for the kids. Sometimes my kid would want to go to her daycare even during weekends - thats how good she is ! My daughter had the best times here truly misses her daycare , love and fun .

We're so pleased we found "Za's House" (as our daughter calls Baby Steps). Our daughter hadn't previously gone to daycare or had a nanny, so it was a big change. Za is a skilled professional with both the kids and us parents. We were reassured and appreciated her clear communication. She's so warm with the kids, but still provides an appropriate amount of structure. Being in a group of 6 or so kids was helpful for our daughter (a firstborn) to become more comfortable around other kids. Za has set up her house and yards very well to have a range of play spaces. The fact that there are separate rooms for naptime can be especially helpful for kids like our daughter, who was a finicky napper at the time. It also means that kids of different ages can be on different nap schedules. It was such a welcome contrast from some of the larger daycare centers we visited, where they had preset naptimes for all ages and assumed that all kids could successfully nap in the same room from their first day. We only have good things to say about our Baby Steps experiences and highly recommend Za.
