When I first enrolled my daughter at Bellevue Sunshine, she was just under 2 years old. As a first-time mom, I was nervous—especially since my little one had strong stranger anxiety and rarely trusted anyone outside of family. But Vandana (the owner) and the staff were incredibly warm, patient, and supportive from day one, which made all the difference for us. What really stood out to me was how much the environment felt like a second home. Within just a few weeks, my daughter started settling in and eventually began looking forward to going every day. That kind of transition—especially for a child with anxiety—speaks volumes about the level of care and attention the staff provides. As first-time parents, sending our kid to daycare was very difficult for us. We visited more than 10 daycares, and Bellevue Sunshine was the one we both instantly liked! It’s been more than a year now, and we love that our kid spent his time at this daycare and received the care and attention he needed to adjust to being away from us. The environment at this daycare always felt warm, safe, and clean. The teachers were very nurturing and attentive to our little one’s needs. We noticed positive changes in our kid, especially in his social skills and daily routine. Another highlight was the home-cooked Indian food—idly, poori, khichdi—which meant our child was eating nutritious meals we were familiar with and trusted. Like all daycares, they had age-appropriate activities, which our child loved—sand play, Play-Doh, and outdoor fun. But what truly set this daycare apart was how they celebrated all festivals—from St. Patrick’s Day to Diwali—with the children actively involved. Parents were also invited for a few celebrations like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and birthdays, which made us feel included and connected. We’re so happy we found this daycare and have always been able to have open conversations with all the teachers, especially Vandana, who always took time to listen to our concerns. We highly recommend Bellevue Sunshine to anyone looking for a loving, safe, healthy, and clean environment for their child!

Our son attended Bellevue Sunshine from 1 yo to 2.5 years old. Vandana and her team took great care of him! He's always happy when he comes back home, and always enjoys spending time there. During summer our son would get back home like he had a shower because he was running around outside a ton. In the winter he happily did activities as well. They even bring kids to parks nearby with cute strollers. You can tell that they really like kids and care for them. They are super gentle and loving to the kids. Before our son started the day care, we used a nanny and took care of him by ourselves. He was very shy and unsure how to interact with people other than us. Now he's a super happy kid and very social. He talks so well and interacts with everyone. I feel so lucky and happy that we chose Bellevue Sunshine back then! I also like the festivals and events at Bellevue Sunshine. They were fun and the kids really enjoyed them. They also celebrated our son's two year old birthday. We were also invited as well and made great memories.

Bellevue Sunshine is an amazing home-based daycare! Our daughter attended for almost two years, and we never once felt worried or stressed about her care. Even though Bellevue Sunshine was a bit far from us, we never regretted choosing this daycare. We have had an amazing experience with Vandana and her team at Bellevue Sunshine. My son started here when he was just 6 months old and is now almost 3 years old, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and love he has received. The best thing about this daycare is that my son truly loves being there. There was even a weekend when we were upset with him, and he cried out loud, saying, "I want Mima (Vandana)!" That moment reassured me how much he feels safe, loved, and happy in their care. The daycare is clean, well-maintained, and very hygienic. My son rarely gets sick—except for the usual minor colds in his first winter. He has never had major illnesses like pink eye or stomach flu, even when he was little and putting everything in his mouth. Their attention to cleanliness and hygiene is truly exceptional. Another thing I love is their reliability. They rarely close unexpectedly and even stay open on most snow days. Last year, when most of Bellevue lost power, they managed to stay open while we had an outage at home. This was a lifesaver, ensuring my son stayed warm, safe, and well cared for.
