Big Blue Marble Academy Hixson

We went to tour this daycare, we are not actively enrolled. The inside is super cute and facilities looked very nice. However, they don’t let you meet the teacher or go into the room your child will be in unless they’re enrolled. This is a red flag for us. Every daycare we toured introduced us to the teachers. How do we know if we want to enroll if we don’t get to meet the teacher or see if the room smells/is clean? The teachers also looked very worn out. During our tour I saw a teacher with only two infants (one asleep in the crib) just letting a baby cry in the crib for a good 10-15 minutes while she cleaned up. He clearly needed to be soothed… granted maybe the parents were asking her to use the CIO method, but I couldn’t ask the teacher that since they don’t let you talk to them on a tour. The director also made a comment of a “quota” and that prices will be increasing. This makes me wonder if corporate puts a lot of pressure on the financial aspect of everything and leads me to question the level of care my baby would receive. The director seems lovely and has been in the industry a while and I know they’re pretty much at capacity, so they must be doing some things right. However, we won’t be using this daycare nor would we recommend to others.

Had to switch Daycares due to a weather incident. Big Blue Marble exceeded our expectations. The staff is so welcoming and professional. When I leave my child , I know he is cared for. His Mother and I had talked previously about certain things to help him adjust and the staff took note and implement those things, he adjusted so quick & loves it there. I would highly recommend Big Blue Marble if you need daycare.

I just put my daughter in the Hixson location, and I can tell she’s learning so much and is truly being enriched every second she’s there! It’s so clean, and the classrooms and hallways are so fun for the kiddos. I can say I don’t ever worry about dropping her off every morning! She also LOVES her teacher, Ms. Hannah! Would recommend this place to anyone. 💓

Big Blue Marble Academy was the easiest and best decision made for my son when he was ready for daycare. He’s been there over a year and we still feel as comfortable and safe as the very first day. Key fob access is required to enter the building, which is a huge plus for safety reasons. It has every thing you need to ease the feeling of your little one going to school: Friendly staff, the best director (Miss Tina), healthy meals and snacks, hands on learning, etc. My son has been there a little over a year and is now 2 years old, his vocabulary is growing and even knows most of his colors! The best part is their app that you can download to get updates through the day and pictures of what they’re doing or learning. This daycare is top of the line, you won’t regret your decision bringing your littles to this school.

I'm not sure who the hiring manager is but she's terrible at her job.. How do you have someone go get finger prints and all paperwork including tax info and then never call them back . Then when you call your told work hasn't been on her mind...??? What??? Why waste people's time....
