We love Bigelow! It feels like a real community. They have wonderful teachers and a fantastic playground. The trees make a gorgeous canopy that keeps the little kiddos and babies happy and cool in the summer.

We love Bigelow. It’s truly a unique place that stands out. A huge private outdoor space where kids explore nature, plant and harvest and play play play! Generous and bright indoor spaces and loving teachers using play based learning with creative activities. One teacher has been here for over 30 years! We are a cooperative which requires participation but rewards you with a beautiful community and friendships that last a lifetime. We’ve been here 2 years and counting …

We sent our younger kiddo to Bigelow after moving to the neighborhood and have had a wonderful experience. She’s in the preschool classroom, and her teachers are incredibly creative and engaged. Bigelow is Reggio Emilia inspired, and focuses on child-led learning, so when the teachers noticed our kid and several others were interested in writing letters, they incorporated opportunities into everyday activities. Boom, our 4 year old is writing! The facilities are also lovely, and include a large shared space for gross motor play even when the weather is yucky. Most of all, we have really appreciated the community of other families, many of whom have become friends.

If you are looking for the best daycare for your kiddo in Somerville/Cambridge, then Bigelow is it. The teachers are fantastic, my child loves his classroom and gets so excited for all the adventures, new things to learn, and fun activities. He has grown, has great friends and has learned so much and I credit that to Bigelow. The building is super cool, and because they have their own dedicated playground they get much more outside time than places that rely on public playgrounds. I fully recommend Bigelow and would give the school and all the folks there more stars if I could.
