Bridges to Kinder

I wanted to share about our wonderful preschool Bridges To Kinder Parent & Early Childhood Education Program. This was such a special place for our kids (now teens!) and us. Our kids still talk about their years there. We got so much support as we navigated parenthood with young children. B2K introduced us Positive Discipline and we still take PD classes for parenting teens now. It is on the Westlake campus and they get to go to the library, life lab and have a buddy class. We love, love teacher Laura and the whole team!

This is such a special and magical place located on the Westlake Elementary School campus. The teachers are wonderful, caring and so much fun. They provide an environment of learning, creativity, imagination, social/emotional well-being, and so much joy! My child never wanted to go home at pick-up and still talks about her experiences at Bridges to Kinder. I highly recommend this amazing program and school.

Bridges to Kinder is a wonderful preschool! So much care and thought is put into the teacher’s daily interactions with the students and their families. My son thrived here for two years, and graduated confident and prepared, and looking forward to kindergarten. We would not change a thing about our experience, and would recommend this preschool for any child in the Santa Cruz area. Thank you Teachers!

We love Bridges to Kinder. Both of my sister's kids came through this program 8 and 5 years ago, we have multiple family friends who have been through it as well, and now my almost 4 year old son is attending. He is so enthusiastic, he looks forward to "school," and is completely engaged. The teachers are wonderful, and very attentive and connected to the kids. The program is enriching - there is a strong use of songs, stories, art, play, practicing leadership, and using positive discipline communication to give the kids tools to learn and grow. The teachers also lead monthly parenting classes, so we as a group are all speaking a similar language in class and at home. Being on the Westlake campus, the kids are able to use the Westlake Elementary recourses - library, life lab, play ground with a 3rd grade buddy.... and by the end of the year, a smooth transition to TK or Kindergarten. We are so lucky to have this resource in our community.

Between our two children we've had 3 wonderful years at B2K. The teachers are caring and passionate about early childhood education. The curriculum for students (and parents) is thoughtful, engaging and has certainly prepared our kids for the next step. Lifelab, library visits, buddy classes and more. Love this place.
