Bright Beginnings Child Dev

We learned about Bright Beginnings six years ago by word-of-mouth from neighbors and coworkers for their outstanding reputation. Our 5 yo son and 2 yo daughter have gone there since being infants. Amy, Tina, all the teachers, and support staff have been phenomenal! They constantly treat our kids and everyone else’s as if they are their own children. They shower them with love, do so many creative activities, and are constantly changing things up in the classroom to keep the kids engaged and learning. When my husband deployed with the military, our son was six months old. Amy and her staff rallied to support me the entire 10 months he was gone. They gave our son a stuffed bear to record his Dad’s voice and a book “My Daddy and Me” which I used as tools to keep our son connected to his Dad while they were separated. Amy came to the going away ceremony and when he returned home, she and the staff made a huge banner for all the kids to sign to welcome him back. She and her husband also came to our house to decorate our entire front yard, and dropped off dinner for us that first night. The entire effort on their part was extremely touching. I honestly have, never experienced or seen anything like it! Our children constantly come home with artwork and projects that they did in school with their teachers. Numerous special events and holidays are celebrated in their classrooms, which they look forward to. The Easter Bunny, Santa, and even the local fire and police department visit the school. We also love the school pictures that are taken by a professional photographer that comes in 2x a year. We look to Amy and the teachers for guidance on what we can do to best support our children. And they have always been very understanding, flexible, and helpful. In many instances, they know what our kids may need before we do. I cannot say enough great things about this business. The entire staff feels like an extension of our family!

Bright Beginnings is an amazing place. The Director and her staff are so extremely friendly and attentive. The facilities are always clean, inviting and well organized. They make you feel like family and treat everyone with lots of love and kindness.

My family just moved out of the area and my 18 mo old daughter withdrew from BB but I just wanted to post our incredible experience with this facility. We cannot recommend this daycare enough- every single staff member from the owner Amy down to each full time or part time staff member care immensely about each child and do their best to provide a "home away from home" experience. My daughter cried at pickup multiple times because I had interrupted her fun and she didn't want to leave her friends and the teachers! Being first time parents, we really leaned on the teachers to help us navigate behavioral changes, illness, and everything else we encountered and truly consider everyone at BB family and will miss them so much! I love how they schedule events and socials for the parents to get to know each other and show off what the kids are working on throughout the year- it brings home how much the teachers are pouring into their students every day!

My children ages 3 and 5 were kicked out of this daycare without verbal or written notice. I showed up to the center and my children's belongings were left outside of the daycare. They're crafts and nap items just sitting out front like trash. They have attended this daycare since they were infants. They had no issues with teachers and were well liked and cared for (so I thought). They were unable to say goodbye to childhood friends. My son just brought in cupcakes to celebrate his 5th birthday yesterday with his classmates and now he can never see them again. The owner and teachers were also aware our family was going through a recent separation and how hard the transition has been on our children. I feel this is a breach of contract and they were expelled unjustly. Very poor handling of this situation by the owner, Amy. Apparently this is how she does business. So if you go here, just know, your child(ren) also run the risk of being cast away like mine. Worth noting her daycare center is one of the most expensive daycares in the area. The silver academy which is a private kindergarten's tuition is less expensive. She raised the tuition 4 times in the past 2 years with no improvements to the daycare. In reply to the owner's comment below. Terminating care of children solely based on the fact you fired their mother, is called retaliation. A licensed daycare needs to provide notice and valid reason for expulsion. I called her passive aggressive and she exiled my children after they've been there their entire lives. I received a text to get my belongings outside the center and I discover my children's items were amongst them, that's how I was notified of their care being terminated. After working there for 3.5 years and paying tuition for 5. My children are not pawns, they're innocents in this matter. You ripping them away from their friends without warning is sick. If you truly "loved" my children and cared for their wellbeing, you would have allowed them time to say goodbye to their friends and teachers - It's fake. She's also contested my unemployment so now she is affecting whether I can put food on the table for my kids. That doesn't sound like someone who cares about children's wellbeing. I've filed an official complaint with the department of human services and attorney general. I will do everything in my power to make sure some justice is served. I hope this hits home to someone. I feel Amy did not treat my children like she "loved them" and ostracized children away from a place she likes to call a "family". Also worth noting I was the ONLY minority staff and have a nursing degree from HACC. My children were 2 of 5 minorities in the whole center... Also worth noting she had friends and her assistant director Tina leave positive reviews to try and drown out mine. I won't be silent.

The Center demonstrates an exceptional commitment to early childhood education, child development and overall care. This is just not a babysitting service! The educational program is thoughtfully designed, engaging and tailored to meet the developmental needs of all children. Staff creates a learning environment where children are enthusiastic and curious assisting a child to reach full potential. The center promotes positive interactions and staff is encouraged to create an atmosphere that is warm respectful and inviting to learning. Amy, the leader is highly effective and committed to continuous training along with strong communication with parents which reflected in its everyday functions. Beyond the behavioral and educational components, the center provides a safe, nurturing and well-maintained environment. Simply put, Bright Beginnings sets a high standard for early childhood care and education. It goes beyond to ensure that every child feels valued, supported, safe and empowered to thrive. Hundreds of children have come through the doors of Ms. Amy and staff and many always remember the AWESOME development center where their first steps in life began.
