They are just ok. My daughter didn't seem to like it here and she's been to 3 daycares so far. But when she went here she never liked getting dropped off and seemed to be in a bad mood when I picked her up. The ladies who work there did their jobs right and you can tell they care about their jobs and their money but didn't seem to have that heart warming welcome or delicate care I was really looking for. Anyone can get paid to watch a child but I want to feel like I can trust you with my kid and more importantly have my daughter feel LOVED and taken care of....I just didnt get that here.

My son went to this daycare from the time he was about 4 months old until the time he was three. I’m a single mom and had no choice but to put my son in daycare when he was only 12 weeks old. I initially had him in another daycare (which is now shut down) and it was a nightmare to say the least! At that time I worked until 10pm and it was so hard to find a center that was open that late. I had a friend refer me to Bright Futures and I remember meeting Ms. Dorothy (the director) and she understood my needs and my concerns. I appreciated the security cameras they had in place and the staff seemed nice. Since I worked late my son was always with a staff member Ms. Maria who was always amazing! I felt she treated my son as her own and I still send her pictures of my son to this day and he is 7! As a new mom it’s so important to feel like your child is actually being cared for and I could see that he was. I never picked him up with his nose dirty or a soggy pamper. As he grew older I also appreciated that they had a few hours in the morning that actual learning occurred. My son was very advanced and articulate to be so young and I think it has something to do with the constant reinforcement on minor things such as colors and shapes and so on. The one issue I did have were some communication issues between staff when the shift changes. (I’ve experienced this at other daycares as well). I never knew it’s some sort of state policy that the kids have to go spend some time outside even in colder weather. (This is not the only daycare who has told me that). So during the winter months I wouldn’t allow my son to go outside. When I would pick my son up in the evening I would ask if he went outside for that day and sometimes the answer would be I don’t know which to me wasn’t acceptable. I scheduled a meeting with Ms. Dorothy and made her aware of what was going on and how I was unhappy and she made sure that he was kept inside everyday during the winter months and it was always put on his daily report. I appreciated the fact that she was able to listen and then take an action on my complaint that I had. I would laugh because she would come to me when Spring started and ask me if he was allowed to go outside during recess. Is any daycare or center perfect? Of course not, but Bright Futures is an amazing center with great staff who actually care and that’s hard to find. I don’t love close enough or my son would still be there.

My son has been coming here since he was 2 (now 5) and my daughter has been coming since she was 6 weeks old (now almost 2) and I love the staff! I know my kids are taken care of, and are in a good environment with the staff. The rates are affordable, and it’s in a convenient location for the ABE area.
