My daughter attended this daycare for 1 year during the pandemic and my son attended for last 2 years (transition to another preschool in the fall). We had the best experiences we can imagine. The owner Jenny and all other teachers are amazing, taking really good care of the children, providing daily home cooked food, and designing age-appropriate fun activities: such as crafts, cooking, arts, singing, dancing. The daycare is multi-lingual, mandarin/English/Cantonese. Both of my children loved this place and they were well-prepared for preschool. I highly recommend Bright Star ChildCare for San Mateo/Foster city neighbors.

Our best daycare experience ever. Jenny and the crew take care of the kids wholeheartedly with tons of experience from years of child care history. Not only every kid was taken care of based on individual character, but also try to form the habit of the whole class in proper Montessori fashion. Teachers hold birthday parties for kids, teach them different course based on different seasons of the year, singing dancing and make hand crafts everyday. We had a flooded home earlier this year where two of us have to deal with all the water damage and restoration during weekend. Jenny kindly offer to take care of my little one on weekend to free us up from all errands. They were also a member of San Mateo Family Care Association that holds annual party in public parks. Bright Star is more than a family care but a second home of my kids. Definitely your 1st choice which you will never regret.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Bright Star ChildCare for our two children! They have learned so much during their time there—from good manners and math skills to fun songs and even ancient poems. The daycare also provides homemade lunches, which gives us peace of mind knowing our kids are eating healthy meals every day. One of the standout aspects is the owner Ms. Jenny, who keeps us updated daily with pictures and videos of our kids, allowing us to see their progress and the fun activities they are involved in. Bright Star ChildCare is incredibly flexible with timelines, which is a huge plus for busy parents. They also help with potty training, making the transition much easier for us at home. Most importantly, our kids are happy, safe, and thriving in this nurturing environment. My daughter attended Bright Star for two years and she had a deep affection for both the teachers there and other kids. The daycare is always kept clean and tidy. It provides two nutritious meals and a snack everyday. There is an abundance of books and toys. Nevertheless, the owner keeps getting more and more so the kids will always find something new to explore. The teachers really care about the students. They design age-appropriate activities for kids varying from infant to preschooler. They communicate with parents everyday how kids are doing during the day, any progress or concerns. Whenever parents have questions or concerns, Jenny is always patient to listen and give advice. Apart from reading books, teaching songs, letters, and numbers, the teachers help kids learn how to share with others, how to clean up after themselves, and help them develop good hygiene habit and table manners. My daughter gained so much more than what I expected from a daycare.

I’m truly and very happy to send my daughter here when she was 19 months. She fell in love with this place on her first day. The teachers are very patient and caring. The breakfast and lunch provided are plentiful and healthy. Also, there are a variety of indoor and outdoor activities every day, she has been learnt a lot! The place is very clean and well-maintained.
