Busy Bees Family Daycare

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Busy Bees for our son, who started attending when he was just 14 months old. Now at 23 months, it's clear to us just how much he has blossomed under their care. From the very beginning, the transition to daycare was surprisingly smooth, thanks to the warmth and support from Lida and her amazing team. Every single teacher has shown so much love, patience, and genuine attention to our son’s needs—whether it was helping him adjust to group settings, encouraging his first words, or gently guiding him through new routines. The staff treats each child with kindness and care that feels deeply personal. One of the things we value most is the open communication. We receive regular photo updates, messages, and monthly newsletters that keep us informed and reassured about our son’s progress. It’s such a comfort knowing not only what he’s doing each day but that he’s genuinely happy and learning. The environment at Busy Bees is warm, joyful, and filled with thoughtfully planned activities—from music and crafts to holiday celebrations and birthday surprises. Our son has learned new words, picked up songs, and even started counting—all while having fun. The Spanish immersion aspect has also been a wonderful bonus; it’s beautiful to hear him respond to Spanish words with such ease. The meals provided are healthy, homemade, and varied, which has also helped broaden our son's palate. We truly appreciate the effort they put into making sure every child eats well. It’s not an exaggeration to say that Busy Bees feels like an extension of our family. Knowing that our son is in such safe, nurturing, and stimulating hands gives us immense peace of mind each day. We’re so grateful for the strong foundation they are helping to build, and we look forward to watching him grow even more with their support. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Busy Bees! Our daughter, Olivia, spent an incredible 18 months there and thrived in every way. The staff at Busy Bees are simply amazing. They are warm, caring, and clearly passionate about early childhood development. The open communication and updates we received about Olivia's day (including pictures) always comforted us she was having a wonderful day. Olivia made great academic progress while also being exposed to a new language (Spanish immersion). The year-round celebrations and engaging activities created a joyful and stimulating environment. We were also particularly impressed with the nutritious, homemade meals they provided. We are so grateful to Lida and her entire team for providing such an exceptional experience for Olivia. She is now ready for TK, and we know it's in large part due to the strong foundation she built at Busy Bees. Thank you for everything!

I can't say enough good things about Busy Bees. We moved to Mountain View when my son was 2 and we were nervous to move him to a new daycare. But once we found Busy Bees, the transition could not have been smoother. He loves the teachers, the activities, and all of his friends. He gleefully recites the ABCs in Spanish on our car rides homes and sings us the songs he learned that day. He looks forward to going every day and is so loved by the wonderful staff. It's also very affordable and professional. We love Busy Bees!

We have been sending our twin daughters to BusyBee for the past two years, and I can honestly say that it is the best decision we made. BusyBee knows how to make learning fun -- especially through group activities like singing, dancing, circle time, and arts & crafts. My daughters have picked up so many new skills and made loads of friends thanks to these group activities. Honestly, BusyBee is nailing this whole "learning through play". The teachers are incredibly caring and flexible, and they have always been accommodating to our daughters' needs. For example, our daughters are vegetarian, and the teachers have always been happy to provide them with vegetarian options. Also, one of my daughters has to wear an eye patch for part of the day. The teachers were so understanding, patient, and helpful in helping her adjust to wearing the eye patch. They created a special routine so she forms a habit around wearing the eye patch. The owner, Lida, is also super good about communication. We receive regular updates (images and videos) about our daughters' activities, and she is always quick to respond to our questions or concerns. We are so grateful for the care and attention that our daughters have received at this daycare. We know that they are in good hands, and we can't recommend this daycare highly enough.

I don't write reviews; this may be the third one I've ever written but I've felt compelled to do so because I want families to know about how incredible Busy Bees Family Daycare is. Our son has been at Busy Bees for 2 years and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found this exceptional daycare. From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was clear that this is a place where children are truly cherished and nurtured. The staff's dedication and genuine love for the children shine through in everything they do. The owner, Ms. Lida, and her incredible teachers deserve special praise for cultivating such a positive environment. In the way they treat the children, it is clear this is more than a job for them, they love and care for each and every child as an individual. I certainly witnessed this first-hand with my son and I could see it with the other kids when I would drop him off and pick him up. They treat every child with kindness, respect and incredible care. We've been touched by the personal touches - from the thoughtful birthday parties, which included gifts from Ms. Lida and the teachers, to the sweet holiday gifts for the children and families. Many other daycares, including more institutional daycares do not do this. These gestures show how much they care beyond just providing basic supervision. Busy Bees has exceeded our every expectation. The fact that I can go to work with complete peace of mind knowing my son is in such loving, safe and capable hands is priceless.
