Cadence Academy Preschool

Since the management change about two months ago, this daycare has unfortunately gone downhill. Our 2-year-old, who had been here for nearly two years without issue, suddenly started coming home with unexplained and untreated injuries. In several cases, we were not informed by staff, and no incident reports were filled out — which is extremely concerning. Communication with the assistant director, Vanessa Ortiz, has been very frustrating. It often takes more than a full school day to get a response, even for serious concerns like injuries. When we’ve gone in person to address issues, we’re met with excuses instead of solutions — and there’s no sense of urgency. There’s also a lack of professionalism from some staff members. One teacher even interrupted a conversation we were having with another staff member and began raising her voice at us in defense of a coworker. On top of that, the stories we’re told don’t always add up, and that inconsistency has made it really hard to trust the communication coming from this facility. Supervision in the classrooms feels poor, and communication seems more focused on covering up mistakes than actually solving problems. We’ve seen more staff and families leave in the last two months than we ever have. I do want to give a huge shoutout to a couple teachers: Mrs.Margie, Mrs.Wanda, Ms.Jasmine. They have always shown the Cadence way and treated us with respect while taking care of our boy. Thank you guys so much for all you do!

From the Directors, to the Assistant Directors, to the Chef, to the Teachers... We have always been treated like and felt like family for the 2+ years my son has been enrolled at Cadence Academy- Galleria. Even the way the staff interact with each other is very family-oriented. Everyone is always receptive, attentive, compassionate, and action- oriented. Everyone is always willing to listen and help when needed; they are sensitive to family/life changes and always provide ensurance that they understand and are always willing to do what they can, within reason, to ease any difficulties. I am a first time mom who is very involved, engaged and protective, and everyone at Cadence Academy-Galleria has always eased my worries and communicated effectively. My son had thrived here, and they have really encouraged and nurtured his development. I am a huge proponent and advocate for the development and nurturing of my son’s whole, individual self, and I can honestly say that they have been aligned with that principle. They really make attendance here feel like a whole experience- it's not just school... it's more like community. To say that I appreciate and trust the staff at Cadence Academy-Galleria would be a vast understatement.

Our son has thrived at Cadence. He is learning so much and having fun while doing it. The teachers he has had truly care about the kids. We have been very happy here.

Thank you for having such an exceptional teacher like Mrs. Hannatu on your team. Her passion for early childhood education shines through in everything she does. She has been incredibly attentive, caring, and nurturing towards my daughter. I can see the positive impact she has on her development, growth and learning. We are so grateful to have her as a teacher! 🤗🤗🤗

When my daughter first started going to the Academy I was so nervous as I was putting trust into strangers hands to care for my child. Over the last few months my husband and I have grown a relationship with the staff and it has become easier dropping of our daughter. It is a great feeling dropping your child off to a staff with open arms--I often think that my daughter looks forward to daycare. A few days ago we celebrated her first birthday and it felt so heart warming that the Cadence team remembered her birthday! Within the last nine months I have recommended my sister and close friend to the Academy. They both have nothing but great things to say as well. Lastly, my favorite part is they daily updates and photos they upload. I love seeing my baby girl throughout the day and I am grateful for their consistency on updating me throughout the day.
