It took me more than a year considerably think to write this review as we had a difficult time to process the traumatic experience we had with the Cadence Academy over a year ago. Everything was good for the first years, but then we were given only two weeks' notice that our son was being kicked out due to "bad behavior", which happened just right after he was moved to class 3B with a mean teacher. During those two weeks we were called several times to "pick up your kid ASAP" which was very difficult for us, with no relatives around, having to spend most of our work vacation days, and of course we still had to pay for the whole week.
The director's decision was made with what felt like a complete lack of empathy or understanding for the impact it would have on our child, at 3 years old, we understand they are at an emotional roller coaster phase, and it's clear that she prioritized convenience over the well-being of her students and their families.
The teachers at the daycare were also unsupportive and unsympathetic to our situation, which made it incredibly difficult for my son to adjust to a new environment. The stress and anxiety that our family experienced during that time was immense, and it's clear that the director's decision was not made with any consideration for the harm it would cause.
In retrospect, I can see that her judgment was poor and her treatment of us was menacing. I would caution other families to think twice before entrusting their children to this daycare, as the management's lack of compassion and understanding can have long-lasting and far-reaching consequences for young children. My son, now 5, still remembers the "mean teachers" daycare. We were able to find him another daycare where he is extremely happy and wants to go everyday.

Worst communication I have ever experienced from a business. My son has been on the waiting list since November 2023 when I was pregnant. They told me initially they would have a spot open in July 2024 then they said they had “staffing issues” and said they will have a spot in October for him. October came around and right before I was supposed to go back to work for the second time they said again they had staffing issues and could get him in March of 2025. Okay so then I went to retour because I’m already feeling iffy. I met with Rebecca and she assured me that they will have a spot on his first birthday (which is April 2025). He is now 14 months old (2 months past since he was supposed to start) and I call there was no apology just “Sorry you feel that way” Rebecca then said once again they are having “staffing issues” but it looks like there is a spot open in two weeks! I’m fuming. Thankfully I found the best daycare Springview Academy where they have the best communication with parents and show my son so much love. Don’t waste your time with this daycare or at least have a back up plan so you don’t end up in my situation trusting they will “get back to you”.

I was really disappointed by this daycare, especially considering how expensive it is. Despite the principal constantly assuring us that children were learning, we didn’t see any real progress once our child moved on to school. They simply didn’t pick up the basic skills we had been promised. Moreover, the staff in the 3B class seemed to lack patience, coming across as overly strict and even rude at times. Instead of creating a nurturing environment, it felt more like a place focused on business and rules rather than genuine care or education.
Another major concern is the director’s attitude. She can be pleasant if your child is perfectly quiet, but the moment kids act like, well, kids, she resorts to threats about expulsion. We also had an alarming incident where a child escaped through the fence, and the director tried to paint herself as the victim afterward rather than addressing the real safety issues. Overall, I don’t believe the staff here is as professional as they claim, and the service definitely does not match the high fees.

This place has been my wife and I best option to leave our youngest treasure on stranger's hands. We trust them and we like their commitment to serve well to my daughter. It is a bit expensive but all day-care services are.

I am so happy to have discovered Cadence Academy! Transitioning from a stay-at-home mom to introducing my toddlers to a public school environment was very scary for me. Mrs. Debbie and her staff at Cadence of Summerville, helped me to make this transition even before I formally knew them. All of the guidance she has given was very supportive in helping my entire family have a smooth transition from home to school. The facility is designed and managed to support a learning and safe environment for the children. I feel 100% confident that my children are being well cared for, and it shows in their excitement to return to school daily; and their reluctancy to leave when it it is time to go home. They are excited to tell me about their day, everyday. I am so grateful for Cadence and excited to know they are helping to give my children an excellent start on the journey of education that will extended well into their adulthood.
