Carlisle Montessori School

I visited Carlisle Montessori School to inquire about enrollment for my child and was disappointed by the cold, dismissive energy I received from one of the staff members. I expected a welcoming environment, especially from a school that promotes nurturing and community. Instead, I left feeling judged and unwelcome. First impressions matter, and this experience raised concerns about the culture of the school and those bringing up the next generation. I hope they reflect on how they engage with prospective families.

We sent both our children to Carlisle through and including their kindergarten year. We are very fortunate to have this school in the neighborhood. Our daughter and son each learned a lot about life and being a good friend as well as writing in cursive, reading, and math. If you live close to Carlisle and have young children, you owe it to yourself (and your progeny) to visit the school and consider sending them. I often recommend the school to neighbors and friends.

We didn’t know much about the Montessori approach until we started to research preschools in the area for our 3-year-old daughter last year. When we visited Carlisle Montessori for our first tour, we were absolutely amazed to see such young children calmly, happily, and independently doing so many different things around the classroom. We chose Carlisle over other Montessori schools in the area because it provides an excellent Montessori education, and because it is set apart by the especially warm and inviting environment of the school. This is the first time our child has been cared for outside of the home, and we knew the patient and nurturing demeanor of the teachers and the small homelike feel of the school itself would make for a gentle start for our little one. We look forward to the years ahead and watching our daughter grow through her experiences at CMS!

Carlisle Montessori School of Buckhead is a HIDDEN GEM amongst schools and daycares. Our experience here has been BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL! We started off with our little girl when she was 18 months as we felt this school was a lot better comparatively. That truly has been the case and we started learning around the Montessori concept. The Montessori track is new to both of us and honestly speaking we have got cold feet around it a couple of times during the journey. However, Ms.Gina and the team gave us clarity on how the Montessori program brings the BEST OUT IN CHILDREN and assured us to trust the program. She even showed us examples of students who were then graduating and their educational, behavior levels. We decided to continue with the program and we are now huge fans of the Montessori program! As our little one is now graduating in 2023, we are even continuing our little one's education with a Montessori program into the next level program - Lower Elementary (and maybe more!). Ms. Gina and team are true believers & followers of MONTESSORI principles. The concepts are so clearly taught with real world materials that the foundation is strong, which we all know matters a lot. Apart from teaching the kids around educational concepts (Reading, Writing, Maths etc.), the other aspects are also well taken care of - This includes social interactions, behavior & manners, show and tell, leadership, mentoring and helping others, arts and crafts and everything else! We are amazed at the TRANSFORMATION of our little one and are truly GRATEFUL to the Carlisle Team. BIG SHOUT OUT to the AMAZING teachers and staff - They are AWESOME! My child has attended Carlisle Montessori School for the last 3 academic school years and I have been impressed with the faculty's dedication to my child’s development and the nurturing environment provided. There is an immediate sense of the teachers' passion and the emotional and academic value they place in each student. Becoming a Montessori accredited teacher takes years of study and hands on experience. This same level of focus and commitment and professionalism continues into the classroom. Each interaction with the child or lesson taught is an opportunity to widen a child’s horizon or make them a more integral member of the classroom. An additional benefit of a school this size is the administration knows your child's development and milestones almost as closely as the teachers. This allows the parent and overall staff to collaborate in providing the best setting for each child both at school and at home. I am happy to see the school grow and strengthen its position in the intown area.
