Casa Silvestre Daycare

When we first met Diana our daughter was four months old and I was nervous about leaving my baby with a stranger. Diana graciously accommodated us by spending the first few visits at our house where she earned our daughter’s trust. Soon after I toured Casa Silvestre and was reassured by the thoughtfulness of the space: it felt safe, clean, and welcoming for young children. Fast forward a year and my daughter reaches out to hug her teachers at Casa Silvestre when it’s time to leave. She lights up when she sees her friends and returns home well fed, diapered, and loved. Diana is a very good communicator and has been very patient during scheduling snafus or changes. She is able to share how our child is doing from day to day and when a sleep challenge arose offered helpful insights and encouragement when we requested support. I am so grateful to feel so comfortable with Poppy’s childcare arrangement and would highly recommend it.

Super loving, warm environment. Diana and Santi emphasize play, healthy food, outdoor time, social-emotional skills, and multilingual/ multicultural experiences. They are deeply caring individuals creating a beautiful community for the Littles and their families.

I feel lucky that we found Casa Silvestre… We were in the middle of a big move and needed help managing all that we had to while keeping our 1yo stimulated and cared for. Diana and Santi were super caring and conscientious caretakers for our little, and it was great to drop off Em and feel like he would learn play skills and other developmentally appropriate lessons from people who seemed to care and think deeply about kids’ well-being. Their set-up had great indoor and outdoor play spaces, which E loved. Bonus that because the daycare is small, there are many fewer germs going around. We also appreciated that D and S were accommodating and flexible with scheduling.

We had a great experience with our 18 month old at the new daycare Casa Sylvestre. Diana and Sebastian (co-owners and teachers) are lovely warm and patient. It was their dream to start a child play-friendly small in home daycare, and we were one of their first clients. Our child got along very well with their child, who is kind and considerate. They had numerous daily activities (water play, reading, outside play, shared meals, etc). They offered home made organic meals and snacks. They provided daily updates, and were particularly kind when our child was having trouble saying goodbye to us. They are a multi-lingual family - exposing children to English, Spanish, and Portuguese and doing so with love and patience. Sending your child to daycare is a big (scary) decision, and this family took care of our child as if he were their own. We wholeheartedly recommend them for your young one.

We are so grateful for Casa Silvestre! They were a godsend for our family when we really needed help juggling work & baby but didn't know if we were ready for daycare. Diana and Santi thoughtfully listened to our concerns & have helped us come up with a schedule that is the right fit for our baby's developmental stage and our family's needs. Our girl fell in love with both of them on day one, and lights up every time I drop her off. We have so much peace of mind knowing she is with a nurturing, attentive, supportive family who really care about her needs and show her a fabulous time every day!
