Cedar Child Care

We were with Cedar for about 18 months and my daughter started as a young toddler and now is in preschool. We've always had a great time having her here with some occasional minor issues. Back in early June they had a staffing change and to be honest we were worried if it would affect the quality of care. However the last few months since then has been absolutely amazing. They're much more communicative now with daily updates and photos way above our expectations. And we got to see all sorts of fun and engaging activities the kids are participating in. The teachers that are there are all been with the daycare years now and are simply amazing, attentive and caring. Khadija definitely is working hard on managing Cedar from a great to now an amazing daycare. We were very sad having to leave them as we've moved and already miss them quite a bit. But I'm confident they can continue to provide the excellent quality of care that my daughter got during her time here. Highly recommended

Khadija's center provides just the style care we'd hoped for. As a rare, non-corporate center, Cedar Child Care has a strong neighborhood feel. The teachers, proprietor Khadija, and director Kate seem to know all the children and parents personally, and we love how they demonstrate a high level of attentiveness to the children throughout the day. The facility is recently remodeled with ample toys, large tinted windows, and age appropriate activity stations. We see the children out on walks to the neighborhood parks and local library, and appreciate the photos of the art projects and playtime throughout the day. As a parent it is such a relief to see your baby light up with a smile when delivering them to their teacher amid the morning rush. We feel so fortunate to have access to a boutique daycare like Cedar. Lucky the families that choose to work with Khadija and her team!

Our daughter started at Cedar Childcare as an infant, and stayed for over two years, and she really loved it! She gained a lot of social skills, and she had a lot of fun with the activities and the visits to the parks and the library. She had a few different teachers, but we felt like she was loved and well taken care of by all of them. Communication was most effective via the app or email. We are very thankful for the kindness of everyone at Cedar, including Khadija who is the owner. They were very warm towards our daughter and towards us as first time parents.

We sent our child to Cedar when they were 6 months old and stayed until we moved away when they were 2 years old. Cedar is a great neighborhood childcare spot where we always felt that our child was loved by the teachers and the director, Khadija. Every morning our child was excited to go to school and would run into the building. Very strongly recommend.

We were so happy with the care our child received at Cedar. The teacher are patient, caring and kind. They made our child's transition easy and smooth and they were happy every day at drop-off and pick-up. They teachers are communicative and share about our child's day. We are impressed with the creativity and rage of activities. We also enjoyed the center's great focus on outdoor activities. If you are looking for a center that provides structure and learning while maintaining the intimate setting of a home based care where children get to interact across ages Cedar is the place for you. I highly recommend it (we are only leaving because we are moving)
