We have been going for 7-8 years. Us and our 3 kids love every teacher they have been paired with. The director and staff go above and beyond for the parents and children especially during the pandemic. They follow OHA guidelines. Their summer program is so fun. We fully trust our kids with them. Not to mention, our two older kids were very very prepared for kindergarten by their preK teacher from phonics, sight reading, and other academic practices like identifying patterns. Note: we did happen to leave to a closer daycare when our oldest was 2 yo... but we ended up bringing them back and they welcomed us with opens arms by trying to open up classes for us. They just make our lives so much easier as two working parents: great hours, provides meals/snacks, and great communication.

We've been with Cedar Hills Kindercare for more than 5 years. Our life has been much easier thanks to the amazing team who work here. Besides teaching children the academics, they keep a welcoming and caring atmosphere for them. We can feel it in the way the children are greeted by all teachers, including the ones from different classes. Drop off time has been much smoother here because kids feel loved. Our kids believe their teachers are their friends. The director and the management team are very accessible and always present at the front desk. There have been changes to teachers and management during the last few years, but the loving environment did not change. During the pandemic everyone went above and beyond to maintain a safe educational milieu, despite the stress of dealing with many uncertainties, staff shortages, and rapidly changing rules. Teachers showed up every day with smiles on their faces. During COVID, storms, and other emergencies, this center was often the only reliable option for childcare.

We couldn’t be happier with how all of the staff here love and care for our child like their own. It truly feels like part of the village, managers making an effort to get to know you and your family, while the teachers pour their hearts into developmentally appropriate activities for the kids. My daughter especially enjoys the calendars of activities each summer and looks forward to them hanging on our fridge each year so she knows what she’s looking forward to next!

Both of our children started in the infant classroom at Kindercare and have either graduated or are about to graduate from pre-K, totaling almost 10 years. Kindercare has truly become a second home for them. As our youngest is starting kindergarten after this summer, I wanted to take a moment to write down a few things about our experience over the years. My hope is that this will give other families an idea of what this place is like and also help keep some delightful memories for ourselves. Our two kids have very different personalities, but both have developed wonderful connections with their teachers and other kiddos in the classroom. When our daughter (the older one) started, the Kindercare app had not been introduced yet. Instead, we received a daily report on paper upon pickup, and her teachers carefully noted not only her food and nap times but also anything new she did or said in the comment section. They would then describe it to us in detail, often with laughter and love. As working parents who often missed out on what our kids did during the day, this was truly a treat. I remember Ms. Yuri, my daughter's teacher in the preschool classroom, was the first to discover her passion for teaching. She would give my daughter an extra clipboard and pen, allowing her to do the kid count in the morning and during outside time. This was one of the many moments my daughter fondly remembers from her time at Kindercare. I'm amazed at how carefully Ms. Yuri and other teachers observe the growth of the kids, even when they can't express their thoughts clearly, and come up with ways to foster it. Nowadays, with the app, we can easily check updates on our phones. Ms. Meredith, Ms. Ellie, and Ms. Adela - our son's teachers in pre-K - send us detailed notes and pictures every day about what they learn, do, and read. With these, it's much easier to have a great conversation with him in the evening. He's so happy when we mention something he worked on in the classroom and can't stop telling us about it, whether it's something growing in the garden, their top-secret project, a song, or astronaut. I'm so glad that he's becoming more and more curious and interested in this world every single day! I'd also like to briefly mention a couple of other things. When our son was an infant, he needed some daily physical therapy/exercise for a slight neck issue. My mom went to his classroom every afternoon for a couple of hours to help with that for several months. The director and the teachers made her feel welcome and made sure she had the support she needed. About a year ago, our son went through an unusual and potentially dangerous symptom during carpet time in the PreK-A classroom. The teachers quickly notified the director, and together they helped him get over it. They also called us promptly and described what happened in detail. Later, his teacher wrote everything down so that we could inform his doctor clearly. Luckily, it turned out fine eventually. We really appreciate the teachers' great attention to the kids and their thorough communication. Lastly, a big shout-out to the current management team! Most, if not all of them, used to be fantastic teachers in my kids' classroom, so they know by heart what the kids and families need. It's great to see the school run by them day-to-day. Again, I’d like to thank the team here for creating a nurturing and educational environment. We are lucky to have you in our life!

We’ve had both our kids here which worked very well. We like the friendly staff, great teachers, large playground, and the seasonal events the school has to offer. We also like the play-based approach and appreciated the attention the teachers paid in helping the kids develop good habits.
