Chesterbrook Academy Preschool

I can't say enough nice things about our experience and the educators at CBA Kentlands. My daughter attended for one year and in that year her vocabulary expanded tremendously. The teachers are so kind and caring! My daughter was the early bird at the school and Miss Jennifer always comforted her when she had a hard time saying goodbye. The teachers helped us get through various "terrific two's" stages such as; biting and hitting. They also were big supporters of potty training and never made her feel shamed for having "accidents" and for that we will be forever grateful! They had a great curriculum with fun and educational activities and I loved that the kids spent a lot of time outside as well. The summer camp also exceeded our expectations- so many fun events! Magicians, singers, a petting zoo came for the day (!!!), the reptile and insect man and more! Needless to say my daughter had a great time. Thank you to all the teachers; Carmen, Jennifer, Julian, Park, Miles, Mr.T, Faith, Patrice and Shiela- we miss you so much!

We absolutely love this school. Our child is thriving and enjoying every day. The classroom is clean, bright, and the kids have space to play and learn. The teachers are amazing- Ms. Shima/Ms.Miles/Ms.Parks are phenomenal! They’re very engaged and it’s obvious they love working with kids! The kids learn not only educational things (numbers, letters, projects), but behavior, health, and so much more. My 3 year old tells me about healthy food options that her teachers talk about! They have extra curricular activities added to the program during their normal hours, which is extremely fun for the kids! I feel like my child is in safe hands and they truly care about the kids.

Both of my kids have attended Chesterbrook, one is currently still at Chesterbrook, and it IS a really great place, very personable and just a wonderful learning environment. My kids LEARN here, it's clean, and an intimate school! I think it's a perfect size for transitioning from home care to "school." The current principal Ms. Shiela and assistant principal Ms. Patrice have been very attentive and are warm human beings! The teachers are amazing and give so much attention to our kids. We have had such a great experience the entire time, and we especially love the teachers: Ms. Carmen, Ms. Ella, Ms. Bethany, Ms. Faith, Ms. Miles, Ms. Park, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Danielle, Ms. Joanna, Mr. Tim, Ms. Shima, wow, we know them all! I guess that's what kind of school this is :) We have even loved some of the previous teachers my older son had, Ms. Miles, Ms. Julian, Ms. Park, Ms. Shima, and previous Principal before Ms. Narema, was also very kind. We feel very lucky to have had the experience(s) with Chesterbrook Academy that we've had. It has been extremely reassuring that my kid(s) have and had been so well cared for here. Thankful does not describe my sentiments. Oh, and a nice little bonus is that during soccer season, Soccer Shots comes to the school for soccer lessons, and it frees up your weekend some :) --- That has been SO NICE and convenient!

We have sent 3 of our children through Chesterbrook. We always appreciated that their focus was evenly focused on learning and play. Our children were well prepared for kindergarten and loved their teachers! The staff was always wonderful to parents as well and involved us in a lot of activities. We always loved to get the daily pictures and see what the children did every day. We would recommend this preschool to others looking for a school in the area.

SO so grateful to have found this place for my 2-year-old. Attentive, kind, and helpful staff that I truly feel is as committed to my son's growth and development as I am.
