Chesterbrook Academy Preschool

I was super excited to get started with my daughter’s preschool experience, but it ended up being incredibly disappointing, to say the least. We withdrew after just three weeks. I really wish I had trusted my instincts instead of relying on reviews and referrals. Perhaps things have changed with the new principal. From the start, I realize now, my daughter was never technically enrolled. I had a weird feeling because despite visiting multiple times and calling, I never spoke to the principal. I had to call three times just to get my application processed, as the VP wasn’t properly trained—an odd sign, but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. I emailed weeks in advance to ensure we were prepared, and the VP assured me everything was in order. However, on the first day, we couldn’t even get in because they were supposedly ‘out of key fobs.’ We never received any and had to sneak in and out for the entire time my daughter attended. We were also never told what classroom to drop off or pick up from. It didn’t feel pleasant or secure. I realize now, that during my daughter’s first week, no one knew who we were, she wasn’t on any class list, and she was the only child without a name tag on her cubby. At the open house, no one addressed us, and we wandered around asking random people where the two-year-olds were supposed to be. Once in the class again no one addressed us. Despite these red flags, I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt for some reason, but it’s terrifying to think that I was dropping her off every day, trusting they knew what was going on. After three weeks, I tried to schedule a meeting to discuss my daughter’s struggles adjusting, but also to address these concerns. I wasn’t getting any responses through the app, so I emailed, and the principal called me back. Instead of addressing my concerns, she spent the entire conversation gaslighting me—insisting that we had met multiple times, that she gave me key fobs, and that I received an enrollment packet, none of which were true. She focused on these false claims over the course of two phone calls and multiple emails, completely ignoring the actual issues. I lost my cool and ultimately decided not to spend a month’s rent to continue putting my family through this. Save yourself the pain and literal tears. I couldn’t be more disappointed in my daughter’s first preschool experience.

My daughter has been coming to Chesterbrook Academy since she was 6moths old and is now 2 1/2yrs old. I absolutely love this daycare! I had been very nervous about sending my daughter to daycare just because of how funny I am with leaving my children with anyone. At Chesterbrook Academy , I have nothing but great experiences. My daughter is treated so well here all the staff are great! The things they are teaching the kids at such a young age is phenomenal. I couldn't ask for more from a daycare then they provide here at Chesterbrook Academy. Just want to thank the staff and let them all know you are valued! Thank you for all you do to help teach our children and provide for them while in your care!!

Such a wonderful school! My son loves it and the teachers, along with the Admin team, have always been great and accommodating. During this pandemic, they have really captured the essence of safety which keeps me at ease. I have also met some wonderful families who are now a part of not only my sons life, but my life as well. I am truly sad that this is my sons last year as he will be entering elementary shortly. Keep up the great work Chesterbrook! Thank you for all you do!

My son started at this center a year or so ago and due to personal reasons, we had to change him to a few other centers in the Lancaster area. The services Chesterbrook provided are second to none and that’s why our son is back at this particular center. They treat him with respect as well as my wife and I and I HIGHLY recommend them if you want your child to have a quality educational experience.

A wonderful school. We love the relationships we have built over the years with the staff, teachers, and all the other parents who bring their children here. Our kids have built beautiful friendships and are excited to go to school each day.
