Chickadee Toddler Care and Preschool

We love, love Chickadee! The whole staff is amazing and very professional. They create lesson plans and appropriate themes for each month and make learning fun. They do pay great attention to all the kids needs and help fostering growth and independence. They do provide timely feedback on the child's development as well take into account any concerns we may have very seriously. My child's teachers have been very patient and kind in helping with the transition into the day care setting. She loves it there and talks to no end about her day, teachers and friends when back home. I believe this is a great indication of an amazing setting.

Excellent childcare and the pinnacle of professionalism! Teachers and staff exceed all expectations – great communication, thoughtfulness in fostering the growth of each individual child, wonderful pre-K curriculum that stimulates curiosity and learning. Music and yoga classes, visits from Maine Audubon experts, and daily lessons and activities that keep our kiddo engaged and inspired. (Don't let the location deceive you-- Chickadee seems to magically transform storefronts into beautiful classrooms that are full of age-appropriate toys and activities, and provides lots of fun outdoor playtime in their lovely playground!)

We LOVE Chickadee! Prior to starting at Chickadee we had never had a daycare experience so we were a little apprehensive when it came time to put our 18 month old into outside childcare. All of the staff and teachers at Chickadee were AMAZING in helping our little girl transition into the daycare setting. They are so great at communicating and keeping us updated throughout the day. It gives us peace of mind and we know that our little girl is taken care of. We also love the curriculum and the focus on learning through play, crafts, and outside time. We have seen so much growth in our daughter since she started. We highly recommend!

We love Chickadee! The staff are all amazing. The location is convenient and the facility is clean and organized. Teachers go above and beyond working with children and parents to make sure that each day is a positive experience.

Like for many parents, sending my toddler to daycare was a difficult but necessary decision. At his first day there, I was put at ease. My now 2.5 year old has learned so much. The teachers genuinely care about each child and are very communicative about any concerns. The greatest testament to the care they give is that my son gets there and immediately starts playing, being engaged and forgets I ever existed :)
