Childtime on Vly Road

Little did I know when Mr. Gary called me saying they have an opening for my son, that I had hit the jackpot. Kid Central sets the bar high for other daycares in the area. Their staff is dedicated and cares about every child that comes through their doors. Having been at Colonie and then transferring to Latham once it opened (only because it the location was more convenient), both places are are top notch. From offering wonderful food options, play time activities and daily communication with pictures of my little guy having a great time, Kid Central understand childcare. As a first time mom they offered me amazing support and made me feel so much better about leaving my little boy with them. Two years later he is still there and I love that his teachers are still there to watch him grow. I feel blessed to have Kid Central there to help build the foundation for my son’s life 🫶🏼

Awesome daycare. Staff is very in tune to the children they care for and provide a great environment to foster their growth. The owners are very involved which you do not see at many other daycares that have several locations - and that really sets them apart. The involvement in the day to day operations allows them to help foster their staff's growth as teachers and ensure all policies and procedures are being thoroughly followed. Keep it up!

In general, it's a good daycare. The people that work there are top notch and take good care of my grandkids. The issue I have is with closing because of snow today. Less than an inch of snow, the roads were fine and now people have to miss work. Worst ,is that they have no central way to notify parents. Many parents drove to the daycare and were left wondering what happened. This needs fixed, in the age of electronic communication it is unforgivable to leave people, who literally pay thousands a month for day care hanging and unable to go to work. A group email is easy and free. Again, easy... and free. It's 2024 now. Every school district across America sends out both text messages and emails. 2024 Added star. They do take good care of the kids. Communication obviously needs some work.

My daughter has been attending this daycare for almost a year after her previous daycare closed permanently due to COVID. We thought her other daycare was fine, but the differences in care weren't apparent until she started going to this program. The staff are all very friendly and genuinely seem to care about the kids, we receive daily reports about her day, she naps well here, and they seem to have a nice scheduled program for all of the kids, including extra fun things for summers and holidays. We have seen many of the same staff throughout our time with the program, which I think speaks volumes as to the quality of the work environment. Lastly, the owners are always on site and very communicative. We were very lucky to have found this daycare!

Our son loves Kid Central, and so do we! Much better than our previous experience with a popular corporate-based daycare in the area. Gary and team are passionate about providing excellent child care, and we’ve been very pleased with the facilities, staff, and our son’s growth. Our house is filled with some pretty sweet art projects from the past 6 months!
