Country Day School of Baton Rouge

I do not recommend CDS for their toddler years. I can not attest to their pre-k program as we were forced to pull our child at the age of 3. They were not communicating with us and I discovered many problems through our speech therapist who provided services on site. I was absolutely disturbed to learn what they hid from us. The teacher that caused these problems is no longer there. I then found community with other parents in my neighborhood who had complained about the same teacher at the same time as us. Hopefully they'll focus on fixing these issues moving forward. I would be very cautious if you have a child who has neurodivergent/sensory struggles. We had a wonderful experience with the baby school. Those women hold a special place in my heart. Ms. Frieda took such great care of our boy when he started at 18 months. She made us feel so loved and cared for.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to enroll our son at Country Day. After a challenging experience at his previous daycare, we were apprehensive about finding the right fit. From the moment we stepped through the doors of Country Day, we knew it was special. Not only has our son's morning meltdown disappeared entirely, but he now eagerly looks forward to his days there. The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive, and the communication from the staff has been outstanding. Most importantly, we have complete peace of mind knowing our son is in a safe and nurturing environment. Thank you, Country Day, for making our daycare experience so positive and reassuring.

We visited several daycares in the Baton Rouge area and finally found that only this CDS has the best environments, learning space, outside spaces, well educated and experienced teachers for all ages. Having energetic and positive management(Ms. Amy) brought lots of educational experience to this program. My son grew up two years in CDS and we wanted to share our experience to all families that have concerns about finding a suitable daycare/development center. We DO recommend Country Day School and appreciate all teachers and CDS management that made this journey safe and beautiful for us.

After touring 7 daycares in BR 6 years ago, we decided on CDS North and are so glad we did! I can't say enough good things about them. The teachers feel like family. We have always been kept well informed. The teachers are great at making learning fun with lots of hands on activities. Most importantly, the kids love going and are well prepared to enter "real" school. After 6 years with 2 kids, our youngest is about to finish his last year at CDS North. We can't express enough how much we appreciate everyone at CDS North caring for our children like their own.

I highly recommend this learning center. My daughter is excited about school each day and always has a great story to tell about her teachers and friends. It has been wonderful watching grow through their program.
