Our baby has been in the newborn room ever since he was 3 months and we cannot be any happier! Our teachers/caregivers in Infant 5 (Fay, Cisilia and Marissa) are knowledgeable and caring. They pay close attention to babies and relay the information about each child at the end of each day. The processes at this CDC are very well established from care to communication with parents. I have toured lots of daycares from Sneads Ferry to Wilmington and none of them could offer facilities, processes, care, and cost (!) comparable to this CDC. I am not sure how our toddler experience is going to be, but infant care has been phenomenal.

Their motto is using conscious discipline to redirect behaviors in children. I didn't witness much of this concept they train the employees for. I saw care takers scream and threaten children with challenging behaviors. It was stressful to see this daily. The classrooms are boring and kids are bored with same toys with no creative playing skills to explore. They manage to keep the kids safe and feed but lacks the ability to truly understand the concepts of conscious discipline. Some workers do practice the training but there are more that don't than do. Forcing kids to take naps and threatening them is just not what I signed up for. I believe some classrooms to be toxic and parents should pay more attention to who your child spends all day with. Toxicity and power struggles can damage a child's self esteem later in life.

Walked in today to my son being sang to while he washed his hands and my daughter playing with her teachers with a giant smile. Nobody can take care of your children like you can but it feels good to know when I go to work they are happy and in good hands. My husband is on another base that was full at the time of enrollment when my son was born and we chose not to switch to new river because of the staff here. It’s been almost 2 years and I love this place. They have an outstanding staff and director who is always prompt at answering any questions or concerns I have. Keep up the good work! You guys do an amazing job.
