Our family is so incredibly grateful for this amazing daycare! We currently have two kids attending Creative Minds - one daughter who has attended since she was 3 months old and she is now thriving in their Pre-K program. All of the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating and they truly love all of the kids in their care. We have been so impressed with the creative art projects and spanish immersion. Intermixed with art and play, they have also taught our daughter so many of the beginning concepts for literacy, math, and science (as well as social and personal development skills) that I know she will be able to confidently go into a Pre-K 4 or Kindergarten classroom with no issue. They go out of their way to do fun events for the kids and our kids genuinely love going there everyday. We highly recommend this daycare.

Creative Minds is the best kept secret in Albany Park! The unassuming facade opens to spacious, light-filled rooms that are cleaned and organized from the ceiling down to the baseboards. There's a lovely patio play space out back for children to run and get some fresh air.
We initially chose this daycare because it was within walking distance, was reasonably priced, the facility was clearly well cared for, and we liked the staff we met on our tour. The Spanish immersion program was the cherry on top. Now, four years later, we agree that it was one of the best choices we've made.
Our child has been with the same cohort of children for the last four years, and the daycare's staff has been consistent too. The cook, director, most teachers, and admin staff are still there after four years. They recognize that children form an attachment to caregivers, and so they rotate a teacher with the children as they "graduate" to a new class to make sure that the children are always with a teacher they know. The teacher who took care of my child as an infant still says hello when they see each other in the morning. There's a sense of teamwork and ownership that makes the daycare feel like a family.
At the same time, there is a high level of professionalism in everything they do. The rooms are kept astonishingly clean. Even during times when they are not expecting visitors, the center is immaculate. They serve fresh meals prepared on site. (Despite my best efforts, I've been informed that daycare broccoli is still much better than mine.) When it was time for potty training, they informed us our child was ready and then did most of the messy work. From an early age, the teachers were instructing students in number sense and letter recognition, and are now working on phonics and sounding out words. While our child still prefers to speak English, they will sometimes use the Spanish word for something (with perfect pronunciation) and I know they understand spoken Spanish. And maybe this isn't the most compelling reason to enroll your child here, but they also do an elaborate, professional-quality photo shoot a couple times a year that has resulted in the cutest pictures of our child that anyone has ever taken.
Even if you aren't interested in a Spanish immersion program, you will be glad you sent your child to Creative Minds!

This place has been a gift to our family. I cannot thank the women of creative minds enough for loving, teaching, nurturing and helping my boys be the very best they can be. The employees here work tirelessly to make sure my kids feel loved and seen everyday. I cannot recommend this facility more. We love creative minds and feel so lucky we’ve found this place!

My child attended Creative Minds for almost 5 years before heading off to PreK, and we have had an absolutely wonderful experience with them. The Spanish immersion piece is fabulous, as she can understand now when she hears Spanish (and often comes home with new Spanish songs). The children often do creative art projects and learn so much (from letters and numbers, to how to write their names). They get good outdoor play time and learn how to relate to their peers.
Communication is good with the director and the teachers, and there are regular parent teacher conferences. They have also been very flexible in adapting to our needs as a family when things come up. There are also opportunities to come and see the center during open houses, and they periodically have other fun activities for families.
Highly recommend Creative Minds as an option for your child!

Our son has been with Creative Minds since he was 3 months old and he is only leaving now at 4 years old to go to Preschool. When I say I wish they could teach him through to high school, I mean it! :) Everyone is kind, accepting, knowledgeable and loving. You can tell that children and education is their passion and they give their all to the kids. Ms. Paty and all of the teachers go above and beyond to make sure the children are having fun, are safe and learn to be good people. We are sad to be leaving, but know that Creative Minds paved the way for our son to be successful.
