Daydreams Infant/Toddler Care

Beware of this daycare center!!!! My daughter started in the Kearney house and things were smooth at first. My daughter had a few incidents at that house that never were made into an incident report. First one she slipped on the play house outside and got a black eye. Erin at the time was great about informing me however a report was still not made. Second incident she was standing in line for a snack and another child dug their nails into her face. I wasn’t notified until it was posted to brightwheel. Her father brought it up and they explained it but didn’t prior to it being brought up. Third incident - a couple days after the second she fell and hit her head on the book shelf. I was not notified until after it was posted again. When she moved to the blue house she was injured more. She got bit on her shoulder, no incident report. Then she got a nursemaids elbow which I was not informed at all anything was wrong. No one saw a thing. No one said anything. I made them aware and still nothing happened. It happened a second time and the same thing. No one said anything and no report made. They were investigated by OTIS due to their negligence. The plan we made was not followed after this. Some of the teachers made comments that the second time happened with me. The owners abusive boyfriend who refuses a background check has access to the cameras even when parents don’t and have access to the children. They don’t fix issues they just cover them up. Avoid this day care. The owner only cares about money, not the children’s safety.

My daughter has been going to Daydreams on Kearney for just about a year now. She is thriving. She learns so much, and comes home smarter every day! They give lots of outside time, nutritious meals and snacks, and the teachers are attentive and kind. I couldn’t recommend it more. Erin, the new Assistant Director, is so attentive to correspondence and makes sure things are taken care of. I see some reviews about the owner but once you’re enrolled you don’t deal with her much.

My son and I love the teachers at the blue house! This was the first daycare my son had ever been to and teachers Cindey, Yuli and Jackie have always made sure he felt happy and comfortable with them. They are the sweetest teachers and been a tremendous help with my sons education. I appreciate all they have done for my son and I! They also have live cameras for you to check on your little one throughout the day.

When my son was 6 weeks I needed to find childcare for him and the owner said she had a spot available starting the following month. I asked her what was needed of me to bring and she never got back to me. The month came for him to start and she said she needed another month.. Then the next month came and she needed another when she had me fill out all necessary paperwork and told I was able to start two months before then. I became so upset because I was in need to get back to my job and she was making that not possible saying I have a spot, but then keep pushing it off. I wouldn’t trust them

The teachers at this daycare were always nice even though there was high turnover which was upsetting since our son would get attached to his teacher. The real complaint and issue we had was with the owner, Suzanne and the business aspect. It is all about money with her. My son was at Daydreams on Kearney since he was 3 months old and both I and the teachers wanted him moved to the blue house for kids over 2 years old, but I was always told by Suzanne that there was no room and he was on the waitlist. He turned 3 while still at daydreams and we later found out from a previous teacher that Suzanne accepts new kids first for the pre-school instead of moving the current ones up. We also had paid a deposit for our new baby to attend Daydreams. She messaged me right after i paid the deposit saying she needed more to hold the spot because of budgeting. Then Suzanne sent me a text saying they had new babies starting and could no longer accept our son in the Daydreams house and i would have to find care elsewhere with only a week and a half notice. I asked for our deposit back for our infant since it was not acceptable to take away care from us with only a week notice and she refused. I was willing to compromise and asked for half back but she ignored us. Yes, it is nice to have the cameras but not worth it with the shady business practices when you could pay the same amount or less and have more structure and education for your child rather than just letting them run around and be over stimulated. Ever since we took our son out of this daycare, his bad habits and behavior have tremendously improved. Find somewhere else.
