Deba Daycare

Miss Deba and her awesome team are one of the best things to happen to our family. Our son had been home for his first 18mo with a nanny but with a few changes coming in terms of the professional career, we needed to identify a daycare that continued his development in a family-like atmosphere. We talked and visited with close to 10 centers and providers in the greater Annandale, VA, region but Deba Daycare stood out immediately. Just meeting a few of the parents at pickup and asking them about their experience was convincing enough. Our son has been at Deba’s for over a year now and we have had a wonderful experience. They really care about the kids and our little man has continued to develop and grow in confidence. The greatest recommendation I can give is that with baby 2 arriving shortly, we will be with Deba Daycare for the next few years!

When we started looking for child care for our daughter back in early 2019 we found two options we really liked. One was a large program with multiple classrooms and lots of kids of all ages. It was fine and we really considered it. However, the second option we found was Deba Daycare and once we visited her space, we never looked back. Deba's space was open - children weren't confined to one room during the day. They could roam the entire area, they had bouncey chairs to choose from, a kitchen to get their meals, plenty of toys, and kids of all ages hung out together. I really appreciated this - my daughter could learn social skills from the older kids and how to handle younger ones, something that came in handy when we had our twins two and a half years later. For us, Deba has been more than a daycare. She, along with Linda, Mariam and Sandra, have become family to us. They care about my children. They know when their mood is off or if they're hungry or in need of a hug. They have helped us when we, as parents, had questions about raising children since they have been doing this a lot longer than we have been. We have been with Deba since our first daughter was five months old, we all went through COVID together, and they were just as excited as my own family when I told them I was pregnant with twins. What was also really nice was that for a few weeks all three of our daughters were able to hang out together at Deba's. If we went to the other, larger location, the twins would have been separated from their older sister. I really appreciate that they were able to get that bonding time in. The fact that we entrusted Deba and her team to watch all three of our daughters over the past five plus years shows how much we love Deba Daycare. I also want to say that Deba Daycare is clean and well organized. She is a licensed in home daycare (not all are) and her staff is trained in CPR and First Aid. And she has a great play area in her backyard.

Deba and her staff are amazing. Very compassionate and caring. They take the time to learn the needs of each child and are always communicating with parents. They ensure the kids are stimulated. My little guy has learned a ton even at 18 months. But most importantly, I never worry about leaving. I know he’s loved and cared for in our absence. And it shows because he loves coming…especially his Linda and Deba. The facility is also very clean and safe. Highly recommend Deba Daycare!

My child was with Deba’s daycare full time from age 4 months to 2 years. We loved the experience. Deba and her staff developed a very close bond with my child (and with us), my child was always well-fed, well-rested, clean and happy at afternoon pick up. I received regular reports from the staff about how my child was doing and also occasional photos, and the sweetest Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts, too. The space itself is large, clean and comfortable, with separate sleeping and play areas. Deba also recently remodeled her outdoor place space for the kids with turf, shade, and plenty of fun safe toys and equipment. She provides healthy meals and snacks too which was also a big help and meant we didn’t have to worry about packing food every day. I’d highly recommend Deba’s to anyone looking for a loving and enriching daycare experience for their child.

Deba Daycare is wonderful! They truly love the kids there and every morning my son will run over to give the caregivers big hugs when I drop him off- it is so heartwarming to see. Deba is also very responsive via text and I trust all the caregivers immensely, which is the most important thing. I have long days due to my work hours, and I know my son is in excellent hands. Finding childcare can be very stressful but I am very lucky to have Deba Daycare!
