Downtown Prep Preschool and Daycare

We have been at Downtown Prep for two years and LOVE it! I have two children that attend and throughout our time have been in all of the classrooms infant room to preschool. All of the teachers care deeply and we feel comfortable dropping them off every day. They are consistent, reliable and great with the kids. My oldest is currently in pre-school with Heather and he is more than ready and prepared for kindergarten in the fall! Downtown Prep has been a great experience for our family.

I have been so happy sending my son to Downtown Prep for three years. He has blossomed and grown in all the best ways. He LOVES attending preschool. This past year he begged us to let him go full days when we were originally doing half days. We agreed to let him stay full days from then on and he loved it every day and couldn’t wait to attend. I LOVE all the exploring they do: walking to parks and downtown, riding the city bus, going to the Capitol or the splash pad at the grove center, etc. Such well rounded and fun experiences with lots of outdoor time, which I love. I also love the commitment to frequent community service projects the kids get to be involved in. I feel SO good about my son’s time at Downtown Prep. He will be starting kindergarten this fall, and he is thriving socially, emotionally, and academically. Also, Ms. Heather is one of those humans who is pure goodness to the core. She loves the kids and is patient and kind. Highly recommend Downtown Prep!!!

Our son has gone to Downtown Prep for a year now and it is a wonderful place! The staff are dedicated, intelligent, creative, and so loving to the students. There is educational engagement for all age levels. I trust them and feel it is a safe environment for my child. The founder and owner is incredibly organized and well suited to run this type of organization. We feel very, very lucky to have gotten in here. Between living in multiple states and having three children, I've had experience with a handful of preschools. Without a doubt, Downtown Prep is the BEST preschool I've ever experienced. The academics and learning were top notch and well tailored to every student, challenging every student in the way they need to be challenged. Providing students with meaningful growth opportunities while still allowing them to enjoy being kids is often a tricky endeavor, but Downtown Prep excels in this regard. Beyond learning academics, kids learn the value of community and cultivate a beautiful spirit of generosity and care for each other as well as the local and global communities. I truly believe that my daughter's sense of care and responsibility towards others is heightened due in large part to the amazing foundation she built at Downtown Prep. My daughter's sense of bravery and adventure has also been cultivated by her time at Downtown Prep. I was continuously amazed by the field trips and outings the kids regularly took. The downtown location allowed for bus trips and walking trips all over town, and every week, the kids truly gained more and more capability! Of course, safety is the number one priority at Downtown Prep, so I always had complete peace of mind, but I cannot understate how much this constant real-world exposure gave my daughter a sense of agency and confidence. Compared to my other kids who had other preschool experiences, my daughter has a resilience and capacity for trying new things for which I undoubtedly have Downtown Prep to thank!

This is the greatest daycare/pre-school my daughter could have attended (and still is)! The owner and staff are absolutely amazing. The empathy they have for you and your kid is undeniably the greatest aspect of Downtown Prep. I’m so grateful to have not only worked there, but to watch my daughter grow immensely. By the time my daughter starts kindergarten she will have attended there for a little over 3 years. And truthfully, I still wish she could attend beyond kindergarten. It’s fun, it’s engaging, and the crafts they do are so unique. I LOVE hearing about my daughter’s day and her friend and the trips they have done daily to weekly. This is the only school in all of the valley that I feel is so special and important for your kids education, and for your heart to be dropping them off everyday! I will recommend Downtown Prep over and over and over again. ♥️
