We can't get over the tremendous growth that we have observed with our daughter since she started attending this school in the fall.
She looks forward to going to school everyday and is constantly walking around singing their school songs when she was at home too.
We would sign her up for next year as well if she wasn't old enough to start kindergarten.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough! They love and treat the kids as if they were their own and the co-op experience is unique to see what exactly they are taught and the techniques that are used.
All of the teachers are great but I cannot recommend Ms. Kelly highly enough. She is amazing and our daughter loves her as well.
You will not be disappointed with place, I would start them when they are 3 if it's an option for you.

Love everything about ECP. Both of my children went here, one still attending. The teachers are great, kind, engaging, and creative. Itβs awesome to be able to participate and get to know the other families and children. Everything about this place is wonderful- a magical introduction to learning and friendship! Highly recommend.

I cannot speak more highly of East Columbia Preschool. My only complaint is that it does not go through Elementary school. As a former educator, I have an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. I have a masters degree in developmental Reading from Johns Hopkins University. I taught kindergarten in Howard County Public Schools as team leader for seven years. I know how critically important the early years are for children. As I was resigning my position in the county to become a stay-at-home mom, I sought out recommendations of preschools from parents. I went to the parents whose children came into kindergarten school ready. I chose students that came to me well prepared cognitively, emotionally, and socially for the academic challenges of kindergarten, but also well equipped on all levels. East Columbia preschool came highly recommended and when I observed, I knew it was the place for my son. I was not disappointed. The teachers are lovely. They are kind, hard-working, and truly understand the developmental needs of young children. They teach through play, small group instruction, whole group, and one-on-one. My son grew by leaps and bounds and I enjoyed being a part of the process. I loved that I was one of his teachers as a co-op mom. Best yet, he loved school. His teachers created an environment in which he learned to enjoy learning. I am forever grateful!
