Emerson Academy

Emerson is the best daycare our children have ever been to. It’s run seamlessly, it’s a non-profit, they have a huge garden, they raise goats, pigs and bunnies, and they make homemade meals for the children with an onsite Chef. It could not be any more IDEAL. I feel so incredibly lucky that I was able to get my children into this school. 11/10 recommend!

We are extremely disappointed in our experience with Emerson Academy. On Tuesday, our son was allegedly injured by another child. We received two phone calls that day with conflicting explanations of what happened. Out of concern, we went to pick him up and spoke with staff, including Stacey, who stated she would review the video footage and follow up with us. Despite being told we’d hear back by 6/25, we’ve received no communication regarding what happened that day. To make matters worse, the daycare is now refusing to let us view the footage of the incident, even though when we enrolled, we were specifically told that video could be reviewed upon request. In fact, we have previously sat down with staff and reviewed footage of another incident involving our son. This change in transparency is unacceptable. This is not the first time our son has been hurt while in their care, but the repeated incidents, lack of communication, and failure to provide transparency ultimately led us to withdraw him from the center. We will also be escalating this issue for further investigation to ensure the footage is properly reviewed and accountability is taken. Families deserve honesty and consistency when it comes to the safety of their children.

This is by far the most loving, nurturing and caring day care my son has attended. The staff here is amazing and all the teachers are really invested in taking care of the kids. We had the best experience here and saw a significant difference in our son after he started going here.

I would highly not recommend this daycare to anyone who cares about their childs safety. We had multiple instances of other kids throwing toys, biting, slapping and hitting our son. Multiple parents had to complain about one particular student just to have him removed as multiples instances from one parent wasnt enough. They dont communicate when there is a situation with your child and if they do it will look something like this "________ was hit by another student he cried but hes fine now" and thats it. They'll tell you when you sign up that they have video whenever you would to review but they wont actually show you the video theyll just say its confidential and youll never see it. Theres too many kids for the amount of teachers they have but they have an enrollment sign in front of the building.

They do not make it evident that they care about all the children safety! Reports of multiple bullying incidents, not showing recordings when requested, and lack of overall care when it comes to talking to the parents about what their child is experiencing. I do NOT recommend this place and steer clear of this establishment.
