First Baptist Christian Academy

At First Baptist Church Academy (FBCA), we believe in fostering a love of learning through engaging activities and a nurturing environment. Our dedicated teachers provide individualized attention, ensuring each child thrives and reaches their full potential. We offer a well-rounded program that encourages creativity, exploration, and social development, laying a strong foundation for future success.

🏅 What Sets This Daycare Apart:

While FBCA boasts small class sizes and a solid academic program for some, concerns have been raised regarding their ability to accommodate neurodivergent children and ensure a consistently safe and supportive environment for all students.

They will not accommodate any child that is not deemed "normal". They don't make accomodations or 504 or IEP. They have been reported to the school district for discrimination. Neodivergent children are considered a nuisance and they just want to make sure your child is drugged up so they are silent and still like a zombie, even wanting to go against our child's therapist against medication. Some teachers are awesome but it's mostly the new principal that is the problem.

I wish I could give this school MORE than 5 stars! My child has attended for 6 consecutive years. The class sizes grant individual attention without compromise, ensuring my student is pushed to grow to the greatest version of himself. THANK YOU FBCA!!!

Amazing preschool! My child loves her teacher and has learned so much. The staff genuinely cares for each other and each child. It's a positive, encouraging, and supportive environment for my child.

They have no accommodations for disabled children or neurodivergent children. Youngest child in our family has ADHD and autism among other learning curves. He was not allowed to go to kindergarten here. Our high schooler was subjected to ostracism and bullying. The teachers were often incompetent and failed to address students regardless of pleas from students or parents. There was a teacher this academic year (2022-23) who had inappropriate contact with a minor and quit his job with no repercussions. As far as I know, he still has his teaching licence, and teaches at another school because there was no action taken up against him. This is not the first instance of something like this happening in this school. This school does a very poor job at background checks. They do not ensure the safety of children. It is not a priority to the principal to establish a safe environment for ALL the children at the school. If a student's cries are heard, they are generally biased towards their own children. Some high schoolers are forced to teach themselves their own curriculum for required classes--by themselves, without much help from the teacher who will be busy teaching another class. Because the teachers are overworked, they do not have time to teach students who do the independent study. They push sophomore students to graduate early and take college classes to make the school look good, without consideration of the child's mental health. Our highschooler also started school a month later than all the other students simply because they ordered the curriculum late. The principal was trying get our highschooler to become a Spanish tutor in the meantime, instead of taking classes and getting credits to actually graduate. It would have been unpaid labour. From our family's interactions, the best teachers are the Webb's, Mrs. Bowser, and Mr. Drake. There are others who are also kind, but many of the remaining staff have some serious biases. I wish this school would address the very serious issues of bullying, false allegations against students, unprofessionalism, and the severe lack of safety. Children are important and should be respected, protected, and nurtured in a safe environment. Please do not send your child here if you agree with that statement.

My kids have been here since they were toddlers, and are now in Middle School. They have had a great academic experience, and have made wonderful friends. They love being in the extra curricular activities, including Band, Choir, and Basketball! Highly recommended for those looking for smaller class sizes with a solid academic program.
