Foundations Child Development Center

We have had three different teachers as my child has grown up in foundations. They are absolutely wonderful. They learn so much for kids so young. As parents, we’re always impressed with the themed curriculums and what our child comes home having knowledge of. Very happy to have an education focused care I would have expected from pre-k or kindergarten for kids younger than 2. Office communication wasn’t great when we were interested parents to be - but once our child was enrolled, it was so much better (both with the office, and daily easy convos with the teachers in the app). Worth the wait.

Our daughter attended Foundations before heading to Greenbrier. We have moved a lot across the country and have experienced a number of great child development centers and thought Foundations was great. The teachers and staff were always super kind and responsive. Ms. Kelly was so good to our child. A number of teachers had been at the center for many years, and that continuity is both valuable and hard to find these days. Not sure why there is so much negativity around some of these reviews but just want to say our daughter loved it and so did we.

Our second child to go through Foundations is about to head to kindergarten, but before we leave this wonderful school wanted to share with others looking for daycare what a great experience we've had over the past 6-plus years. Beyond the obvious (they do a great job taking care of the kids all day) our kids had such caring teachers and came away from Foundations "loving school." Their learning, development and social skills were definitely enhanced by the experience. They also formed some really great friendships with classmates. We're very sad to be moving on but extremely grateful for an excellent experience.

Foundations is the best daycare in Charlottesville in my opinion. Our kids attended foundations and are proud graduates. We loved the care received and the education from the awesome staff! Foundations has really done a nice job getting the best teachers around and it shows! Our sons attended from when they were babies through going to school and we couldn't be happier with our experience. This is the best Charlottesville daycare and we recommend them to all of our friends and family in the area!

Foundations has been a huge blessing to our family. Staff have been amazing. Our kids talk about their teachers all the time and my son still gets hugs when we pick his sister up. The kids have/are going to kindergarten with a solid academic base. We have been there for 7 years and are sad to see this era of our lives end.
