Geaux Academy is truly a gem! From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and valued. Mrs. Carolyn has a way of brightening even the toughest days with her warm smile and kind heart. Candace is always helpful and goes above and beyond to answer any questions—no matter how small—and provide resources when needed. What stands out the most is how attentive and genuinely caring the entire staff is toward the children. This is not just a babysitting service. The kids are actively learning, growing, and thriving every day. If you're looking for a nurturing, educational environment where your child will be loved and encouraged, Geaux Academy is the place to be. I couldn’t recommend it more!

So this place seemed nice when I toured it a few months ago. They told me how things worked and introduced me to a few teachers, and the lady at the front desk seemed nice. However, as I was looking to enroll, things started to change. Their policies were totally different from what they made it seem. And it's not that their way is unreasonable, but it's just not what I was told and that gives me trust issues. The teachers and the front desk worker were no longer there which had me concerned about the revolving door of staff and the quality of care my son would get. They also didn't mention at first how many days a month they are off that you're still paying for. It was like every third Monday and/or Friday or something plus tons of PD days. So it's like I'm paying but I still need to pay even more for another sitter. They only keep your child for 9 hours which gives you 30 mins to get to work and 30 mins to make it back to them before they charge you $25 per extra hour. What about traffic? What about parents who work in New Orleans? And as a nurse, that 30 minutes is definitely not enough.That's not very resonable espicially if I'm paying $260 a week out of pocket. They also don't have a live feed of the classroom although they definitely have cameras. Which I can kind of understand but when your competitors offer that, you just sending a few pictures every blue moon while charging more isn't going to cut it. The staff that was there when I last went a few weeks ago was super unfriendly and didn't interact with the kids very well. For a place that's new, they are behind on what parents can get from other centers these days but I will say that the owner is obviously trying. It's not easy to operate a new center with staff not staying on. I hope she takes this feed back and implements some changes. I would love to give them another chance in the future because the location is amazing. But maybe being more upfront about these things and even just putting it on your website can make difference. I'm rooting for this place and it's success, but I just felt that there needs to be some information parents should know about upfront before they enroll their little ones.

I went to one of their outreach days when they were introducing themselves to the area and took a tour of the daycare. I also got to speak with the owner and head manager over the facility. While my child is not currently enrolled because I was searching for a part-time option I can confidently give this facility a 5 star rating because the way they treat my child and I when we were simply there for just a tour and how clean/safe the facility is. If you are searching for an affordable, full time daycare I would highly recommend giving them a try.

Mrs. Melanie and Mrs Ari were the absolute sweetest and made my sweet man so comfortable! This was his first time in daycare and he transitioned so well! We had a family member take over his sitting but if we ever need daycare again we will surly come back here!

This academy is awesome! The staff is very kind and welcoming. The building is clean and organized. Lots of learning activities and fun planned for the kids. I love the modern app with the updates/photos on when they eat, nap etc. I hope more people come here! Will post photos later.
