Greater Burlington YMCA

Lovely facility! Great for swimming, weights, basketball, sauna, pickleball and workout classes. I especially enjoy the HIIT classes and childcare while I workout with my wife. Only problem is parking so if you can walk, Uber, carpool or take a bus I’d suggest doing that instead of hoping for a spot.

Beautiful newly constructed YMCA facility with great very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They have an abundance of all the equipment and weights that I like to have available including a couple of the things used less frequently that I find many gyms don’t have. The very numerous squat racks and dead lift weights is AWESOME too!… avoiding a usual bottle neck of weight time I see all too often in other gyms

They seriously need to clean their sauna. The Burlington YMCA is overall good, staff are friendly and helpful, however, they clearly don't clean their sauna whatsoever. If you look between the gaps in the benches you will see 1/4 inch of filth. There is constantly a puddle of sweat.

If you’re a YMCA member in good standing and need a place to workout when you travel, stop by the Greater Burlington YMCA (on the corner of College St and S.Union Street). Didn’t include pictures from the inside but they have an excellent lap pool as well as weights (free and Cybex type circuits) as well as cardio equipment. The staff is very helpful and great at getting you set up in the system if you’re from out of town. They do not have a parking lot so you’ll have to use a meter (25 cents for 15 minutes) or find a parking lot that doesn’t charge you for the first two hours.

Excellent facility and staff! You can tell that they really care about serving the public with a focus on health and wellness. It is much more than a gym, with a welcoming, refreshing integration of community support and physical activity for diverse people of all levels of fitness. The pool is well-lit and excellent for lap swimming throughout the year. Group fitness classes are well-run by enthusiastic, knowledgeable instructors. I highly recommend this YMCA.
