My daughter was in the toddler room for 7 months. During that time she had multiple teachers and I was never notified of these changes. Communication was definitely lacking as I always found out about things either last minute or after the fact. While the staff was very kind I think they were too understaffed to give the amount of attention needed for my daughter who was struggling with severe anxiety and was basically non-verbal at the time. I was notified by her speech therapist that on one occasion she found my daughter still wearing her winter coat and hat inside (she hadn't taken it off), and she was hot/sweaty. No one thought to take it off? On another occasion they found her outside on the playground crying with no one trying to comfort her. One of the daycare teachers expressed her frustration to me over her not napping because that prevented her from taking her lunch break? Another issue that came up was during drop off there was only one teacher in the room who left to take care of another kid leaving no one in the room besides 2 parents and kids. This was brought up to the director and discussed with staff which I appreciate but is absolutely unacceptable that it even happened in the first place. My daughter got pink eye and they said they would send out a notification but they never did so im wondering what other things they didn't notify us about. My daughter also let me know she was hurt a few times by other kids but I was never notified by the daycare unless they just didn't notice it. There were supposed to be field trips but I was never notified of those. Photos through the app but I never got any. There's just so many things and many that I'm probably forgetting but overall I would not recommend this daycare and I always had a gut feeling something was off.

We absolutely love Green Gables! Our son attended from Oct 2023-Dec 2024, he was in both the Toddler 1 & 2 rooms. We had a wonderful experience overall and would re-join the waitlist in a heartbeat if we needed childcare again.
In the beginning, I was so hesitant to start my son in daycare, but Danielle and his teachers in Toddler 1 made the transition so easy for us. They were incredibly communicative, and patient with us as parents. I can tell the staff genuinely care about the kids there (as someone who spent 5 years working at a different daycare/child center, this is not always the case and was so refreshing!).
One thing I've noticed over the past year is that the kids are happy-- they are happy when their parents drop-off and pick-up and I think that says a lot about the quality of care, as well as the connection they have with their teachers during the day.
Pros:
-Fun/special days for the kids (animals, pajama day, ice cream events, etc.)
-Great and caring staff (my son has loved all of his teachers, and the admin have always been so wonderful to us)
-Updates through apps were given throughout the day
-Clean/updated facility, we as parents were promptly notified if there are any sickness outbreaks. Rooms were always in order at drop-off and pick-up, surfaces were clean.
-Wonderful community-- most of the parents we've interacted with have been incredibly kind and the kids are always welcoming at pick-up and drop-off.
-Safe -- their sign-in/pick-up process made me always feel good/safe about dropping off my son
-Quarterly progress check-ins/teacher conferences -- it helped us as parents recalibrate what we needed to work on with our son at home
-2 meals & snack-- it took a lot of pressure off us as working parents to know that the majority of his meals were being taken care of at the school
Cons:
None to report.
My only wish is they offered part-time care, BUT this is hardly a con and more of a reflection on the business structure and what they are able to offer at this time.

My son was in the toddler 1 room. He fell off of a cot trying to grab a toy and hit his head on the hard floor.. though I understand kids get hurt, it’s unacceptable to not call the parent immediately whenever there is a head injury involved. He developed a bruise that lasted over a week. When I mentioned to Danielle, the director, that I was upset nobody called to notify me, she said “if I were to call parents over every injury I’d be on the phone all day.” Miss ma’am, with a head involved fall the parents should be notified immediately, not after they are already home with us.. and then trying to act like you went above and beyond for calling us AFTER he was home already to let us know... Like no. Do better. She also wanted to debate what is classified as a fall. “He didn’t fall he rolled off his cot.” Yeah, hard enough to leave a bruise to last over a week. Ridiculous. We pulled our son out immediately.
I worked in senior care for a longggg time. And a head injury, even seeming minor, we ALWAYS CALLED THE FAMILY immediately. After all, it’s the guardians decision to seek care at their discretion, not yours

Amazing early learning center! My daughter started at green gables in the infant room and moved up through toddler 1 then toddler 2 until we moved and could no longer attend (we miss them terribly!). The staff here is AMAZING and the center itself is clean and built for learning and child engagement. My kiddo is a bit of a wild one to say the least and all the staff did an amazing job keeping her engaged and channeling her energy into growth and learning experiences. I would recommend green gables to anyone looking for high quality childcare in the Spokane area.

Our daughter has been at the north Green Gable for the past 3 years and they have far exceeded our hopes and expectations! They have an exceptional curriculum and a wonderful staff. They provide a safe environment with a secure check-in system. Our daughter has learned the essentials for kindergarten as well as fun information about the world around her. The staff is patient and well educated. We love Green Gable and highly recommend it!
