I enrolled my three-year-old son into this facility the beginning of September and took him out the end of March. Everything seem to be working out fine. But one thing I was not a fan of was that the teachers and aids seemed like they are not qualified for their positions. Like other parents have stated the turnover for the lead teachers in this please is significant. In the few months my son attended he had three lead teachers leave!!, the last one left without even saying goodbye to my son. And my son was left wondering where she went. Before she left I got to speak to her. And she expressed to me that the facility was not treating their staff appropriately and was giving them too many kids. The teacher also expressed her concern that she was unable to tend to so many kids, and that it was unfair to the kids. The classroom was always in shambles and kids were always unattended. I would drop off my son around 8:30 AM. And stick around for 30 to 45 minutes, there was no structure or organization . The food was terrible!!! I would always constantly pick up my son filthy, His shirt would be wet from a spill drink. The teachers would not change him although they have extra clothes. And even once picked him up with feces on his shirt. The toys and books are outdated in the classroom. The classroom walls have posters that are ripped. By the entrance there is a Beautiful room where kids can play during rainy days. My son only got to experience that room once in the time he was there. Every time I asked the teacher why they didn’t use the room the teacher would respond that there was another classroom in there. So on rainy days my son was kept in the classroom all day. Unfortunately I am disappointed with the outcome of my first experience with a Preschool/daycare. I definitely would not recommend this facility unless they do some drastic changes.

Habitots is a majical experience! My nephew is always anxious & excited going here. They run and embrace the staff because they’re caring, loving and pay attention to the specific needs of every child. The staff is always cheerful & engaging with the children. My nephew is always happy to show me the games & songs he’s learned. The children are allowed to express themselves which is fantastic & encourages mental growth. I can’t compare any other place with Habitots. This place gets high marks from my husband & I.

Our experience with Habitots (Medford) has been extremely disappointing. We want to share our concerns with other parents who may be considering this facility.
First and foremost, one of our biggest concerns is the lack of any kind of preschool curriculum, though they claim to have one. There are no structured activities or educational programs to support early childhood learning, leaving the children bored and without the developmental/preparation they need for school.
This facility is outdated and uninspiring, with minimal and very worn-out toys, books, puzzles and equipment that fails to create a stimulating/creative environment for the children. Additionally, the environment feels chaotic and unstructured, It’s essentially a classroom where toddlers are left to run around with minimal guidance, supervised by 1-2 adults (depending on class size). The lack of meaningful engagement and organized activities is not what we expected from a professional daycare.
Staff turnover is another significant concern. Every week a familiar staff member is gone and replaced with a new person. It’s unsettling for children to be constantly introduced to new faces, which undermines the trust and stability that toddlers need. We also had concerns about the qualifications and experience of the teachers/aids. It’s unclear whether they are certified or have appropriate expertise in early childhood education, which raises doubts about the quality of care and attention that the children are receiving.
Underlying all these issues is the clear lack of leadership. The administration does not seem to provide direction or want to address these persistent problems, leaving the daycare disorganized and underwhelming! Sadly, communication from the Director to parents is basically non-existent.
Despite these many shortcomings, we want to applaud the efforts of the few dedicated teachers who work hard to provide care and attention to the children. Their commitment is evident, even as they navigate in an environment that doesn’t support or acknowledge their efforts.
Unfortunately, Habitots (Medford) as a whole falls far short of what we expected from a professional daycare. We strongly advise parents, considering this facility, to take a good look around each classroom and ask many questions before enrolling your child.

When I first signed up my son (over 2 years ago), this place was amazing. But the director left and it took months to find a new one (who quit within a few weeks and then many more months to find another new director). And the place went down hill drastically. A bunch of the best teachers quit all at the same time (which I was not told about, took a few weeks before I was told my son’s teacher quit). For months he did not have a lead teacher just 2 assistants that were in charge and there was little structure to his day. I never knew what was going on. They got a new app that was terrible, I would never know what my kid ate or any info on diaper changes (and maybe I’d get a pic or 2 each month). I’d bring this up to the new director every few weeks and she was always surprised, which is ridiculous because all of the parents had complaints. After a few months I found another place that is a million times better. All of the friends my son had at this school have also left (and 1 has an open investigation with the state). We left many months ago but just recently heard another serious complaint from a parent who just pulled their kid. Please look somewhere else for your kid, no one seems to care at Habitots.

Sharing my experience with Habitots Medford – my child started here in January of 2024 – the amount of turn over during this short time is concerning and should be a red flag for anyone considering putting their child here. Children at this age need consistency, a schedule, and a followed curriculum.. Each day there was a new teacher/assistant at drop off, none of the teachers introduce themselves, and on top of that there was no communication from the director about teachers leaving. The class rooms are filthy, clutter everywhere, old paint brushes left out for days. The cubbies aren’t labeled for new children arriving. The food schedule isn’t followed, they serve cheerios for breakfast almost everyday. They don’t update the app so you have no idea what your child did for that day. Essentially you are paying for your child to play in a room, the say there is a curriculum but its not followed, the kids are left playing to themselves. They don’t treat their teachers well, and I suspect that’s why there is constant turnover. The place is poorly managed from top to bottom. Send your child somewhere else.
