My child has been enrolled here for over a year and I can honestly say we have never received better care. Previously, we were in two other local programs and neither came close to the attention, care, and education my child has received here.
My child has some specific needs and every teacher and adminstrator have been extremely attentive and really acted as a partner in their development.
We are consider HP CDC an extension of our family and have recommended them multiple times.

Our family has been with Christy since the beginning — first when she was the director of another childcare center, and now at HPC CDC. She consistently puts children’s needs first and goes above and beyond to support families, especially those with kids who have special needs.
Both my 4-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter love attending daycare and Summer Camp. The staff at HPC CDC genuinely care for our little ones, and it shows in the stories our kids excitedly share at the dinner table.
Mrs. Lisa, Mrs. Steph, Mrs. Fernanda, Mrs. Jennifer, and Mr. Will have made our children’s education, safety, and well-being a top priority.

My son has been attending HPC CDC for almost 2 years and loves it. He enjoys all of his teachers and has been learning new things almost daily. Miss Debbie is the absolute best ❤️

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with the care my child received at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church Child Development Center. My child will not be returning, and I strongly advise other parents to seriously consider alternatives. My primary concerns stem from the unacceptable practices I witnessed, largely involving the conduct of staff members Christy and Lauren.
First and foremost, I found Christy and Lauren to be incredibly non-attentive to the students in their care. On multiple occasions, I observed children being visibly upset and not receiving the comfort or attention they needed. This lack of basic care is simply inexcusable.
Secondly, the food situation was appalling. There were numerous instances where my child was clearly hungry, but had refused the limited options provided. Instead of offering an alternative, even when it was obvious my child was still hungry, they were simply left without. This rigid approach to feeding is not only uncaring, but potentially detrimental to a child's well-being.
Finally, I was shocked and dismayed by the infrequent diaper changes. Despite having an abundance of diapers on hand (enough to last a month), my child was only changed twice in a full day. This is a basic hygiene issue, and the lack of attention to this need is frankly disgusting and unacceptable.
My overall experience at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church Child Development Center, specifically due to the actions and inactions of Christy and Lauren, was deeply concerning. Their non-attentive nature, the inadequate food policies, and the neglect of basic hygiene needs have led me to the firm decision that my child will never return. I hope this review serves as a warning to other parents considering this facility

My son has been attending HPCCDC for 2 years now. We left a daycare because it wasn't meeting my expectations and we unknowingly followed Ms. Christy, who we loved at the previous daycare. Ms. Christy has always showed my family love, support, and respect. To give some history: I have an autistic son (3 at the time) that wasn't potty trained and instead of kicking us out like most directors would have, Ms. Christy showed compassion, allowed us to stay for a year (to see if he would potty train during that year) and gave me time to make other arrangements that was a better fit for him and all his needs (if he didn't potty train during that year). Fast forward to now: I found out Ms. Christy was the assistant director here and I knew this was the place for us.
My 4 yr old is neurotypical, but has speech delays (he didn't really start talking until 2.5) so he's in speech twice a week. He also had some sensory issues, not focusing, always fidgeting during any activity so we started OT twice a week. I had meetings with his teachers, the director (Ms. Lauren) and the assistant director (Ms. Christy) so we could discuss ways to help him with the sensory concerns and we all worked together to help find solutions. They cared about ensuring that my son's needs were met and they worked with OT to come up with strategies to help him be successful. Instead of treating my son as if he didn't belong, they worked with him to make him feel welcomed and loved.
Ms. Laurie always greets us with a warm smile during drop off and pick up. All the teachers greet me, my husband, my 4 yr old son (who attends) and my autistic son (now 7 yrs old) so we feel welcomed. My 4 yr old's teachers are easy to talk to and always willing to help with his development. My son loves it here. He always talks about his teachers and his friends. I ask him about his day and he says that he has a great day each day. My experience has been a positive one and I would recommend this daycare to others.
