Highland Recreation Complex

You can’t beat the price of $2/child for itty bitty play aka toddler time, each morning or $6/child rest of day. The space as a whole is clean, bright, padded and gated in perfect to spend a couple hrs. Socks are a must for climbers and caregivers who want to play aside. Snacks and drinks are allowed outside the gate, on occasion you’ll see a staff member overseeing the area. I recommend visiting Play World(inside Highland Rec center) to burn off their little energy.

We LOVE Highland Rec! Their toddler time at their indoor Playworld is the best. The playground outside is great for climbers. Their pool is amazing for kids.

Lmao if I could give 0 stars I would .. I've never had a good experience here at all. And don't get me started about the basketball team. Basketball team thinks that they can put players in different leagues to verse other teams. I personally been coaching high school basketball for about 8 years. Not once can you put different players in from other leagues but from the same home team to verse the opposite team but they came to our hometown doing that and when our referees and coaches tried to tell them that it was against the rules they did not want to listen and one of the mothers caused a huge commotion for the Lakers. Causing our team to lose completely because she interrupted the whole first half of the game. And the coach didn't bat an eye to it. It was a 10 to 12 year old league. Not only is it unfair to our team but to the opposing team as well. Very unprofessional. Very unsportsmanlike ship. Like I said I've been coaching high school basketball for many years of my life and I've never seen anything along these lines where the mother comes in and tries recording our home team's coach because he told her it was against the rules. What an embarrassment to the community. Not only that but the two kids that she had playing that weren't supposed to be playing because it's technically cheating and every single rule book a basketball, they were disgusting and disrespectful. Which shows a lot of character on her behalf. Absolutely zero respect for the sport. Especially for the ones that take it seriously and enjoy the sport. The coach remain to do nothing about it except put the kids that weren't supposed to be playing into the game. Very embarrassing for the community. Very distracting for people trying to watch the ones that are supposed to be playing. Us parents play money for our kids to do this. Not for any kind of drama to be involved. I've never left a review in my life but this deserves it. Not only that but last time my children played basketball at the largo rec center, the janitor rolled his eyes at us and proceeded to tell us that we went out the wrong door and told us to never come back if we can't figure out how to go out the right door. The disrespect and disgusting character of this community has really upset me. Everyone is extremely unkind and UN welcoming. I'd never go back here EVER

Awesome indoor playgrounds (1 for littles & 1 for bigger kids) with all the activities and an awesome outside water park with slides and more! P.S. Amazing music selection if you’ve got kids who love Disney movies/soundtracks! My kids cannot wait to go back!

Here is another 💎 in Largo, Florida. This community center has everything, including but not limited to swimming, playgrounds, baseball fields, tennis courts, and, of course, don't forget about the nature trails. You can get a good workout in by using their outdoor manual gym equipment, then end your day with a nice walk. They also have summer camps for the little ones.
