Hixson Learning Center

My son started Hixson Learning Center right before he turned 3 and we loved every day he was there. The teachers are AMAZING and treat the kids like they are their own. They answer all your questions and truly make you feel at ease while your child is there. My son also learned so much and was well prepared to enter into Kindergarten. They are very family based and included parents in so many things such as career day, birthdays, and more! We miss the center and teachers so much!

My son has been at Hixson Learning Center for 2.5 years. I could not ask for a better group of teachers and staff. They love our kids big! My son has flourished socially and continues to learn and grow everyday. So thankful to have such a great place for my kiddo to go everyday!

My daughter started this daycare at 2 years old. We had tried several different other places but none made me feel the way this place has. I stopped in unannounced to check out the place. Mrs. Heather was so sweet and answered all my questions and while talking to me there was some water on the slide, without missing a beat she went over and wiped it off. They are so clean and organized! My daughter knows so much because of them and it's comforting to know when I leave my child she is loved and being taken care of.

I was referred to HLC by a friend of the family when moving to Hixson. My husband and I searched every option in the area. Many were just rude about being full or having waiting list. We found this family of teachers to be the best for our son. We scheduled a time and toured the center. Heather and Gail were wonderful. Yes we did have to leave a message to get a call back BUT they are focused on the children and that is completely understandable. After all this is a small private school with only 24 kids. I am comforted in knowing they are not on cell phones and talking with people instead of teaching my son. It is not a daycare. It is a school. They have playtime but also have a great schedule of teaching. My son knows the pledge of allegiance at 3 years of age. We really enjoyed the Christmas program for our little man. His last center didn’t do anything like this. They genuinely care for our son like he is one of their own. He talks about Ms Terry everyday when we pick him up. She is his buddy. They have went above and beyond during this pandemic. They could have closed but instead supported us “essential workers” by maintaining their high cleaning standards and by keeping the school open and safe for our little ones. This pre-school is wonderful! It is clean, well organized and the teachers are very caring and our child loved going there for 3 years. She learned so much and it gave her a successful start in school at Big Ridge. To this day one of the teachers there is so caring she never forgets to send a card and even give gifts to our child on holidays and birthdays who is now 7 years old and in second grade. If you are looking for a clean, caring and great environment for your children to thrive you can’t go wrong here. I so appreciated all they did to ensure our child was learning, loved, nurtured and in a safe place while we worked...
