House of Hounds Charleston

Our pup, Percy, was a puppy mill dog that got too big to sell (plus he looks totally like an old standard poodle instead of a doodle), but he was too young to breed. He was surrendered to a shelter in Ohio, and we found him on Petfinder. We went to get him - no meeting first, no questions. This sweet guy has acute puppyhood trauma. He wasn't housetrained, leash-trained, he hates riding in the car, and he had never seen a set of stairs. I hired a trainer to help me with him, but my dude can't be locked in a crate, so standard training didn't work. Also, Percy is severely triggered whenever anyone does any gardening around him. Why am I telling you all of this? Because House of Hounds has, hands down, been the best thing for our neurotic 60-lb, 8-month-old puppy. He has so much fun at Doggy Day Care. The staff understands him and he trusts them. He is better behaved, more receptive to learning commands, and VERY tired at the end of the day. The Charleston location of House of Hounds is within walking distance for me. Whether it's day care or grooming, I can walk Percy there and back and he doesn't have to suffer a ride in the dreaded "vroom vroom" car. I can't recommend House of Hounds in Charleston enough. They make my doggo so happy, which makes me so happy.

House of Hounds is simply amazing! From the warm welcome to the spotless facility, everything is top-notch. 🐾 The staff is incredibly caring and truly knows each dog's personality. My pup has a blast playing and making new friends! 🐶❤️ If you're looking for a fantastic place to take your pup, I highly recommend House of Hounds! 🏡🐕

It has been awhile since we have been to this location. Taking Beyla went seamless even though it has been awhile. We always enjoy finding Beyla on the TV in the waiting room once they take her back. We adore all the decorations there and how cozy they make the place. If you feel that way walking in then you know your dog feels just the same; just like home! .

If there wasn’t a House of Hounds, I don’t know what we’d do daily so our babies didn’t have to be home alone. House of Hounds not only provides wonderful daily daycare, but it is so comforting to know the dogs are never kenneled when we board them. The staff is exceptional! They are very responsive, provide updates as needed, and I know they love all of their furry clients! We have been using House of Hounds since 2018 and highly recommend their services!

The House of Hounds is a wonderful option for day care for your dog. The Charleston location has an incredible staff who truly love dogs. My dog has been going to House of Hounds about once a week for the last few years. He is always excited for daycare day, and it is part of his regular routine that he looks forward to each week. I feel confident dropping him off at HoH because I know how much the staff there care for the dogs. I also use the grooming service at House of Hounds in Charleston, and they do an expert job in maintaining my dog’s high maintenance coat. I also love the convenience of having daycare and grooming in one place. I can drop my dog off for daycare and pick him up, freshly groomed, after work that same day. If you are looking for a caring environment to trust to take care of you dog during the day, you can’t find a better option in Charleston than House of Hounds. It is pawsitively great.
