Innovative Child Development Center

We were really nervous about putting our son, Dean, in daycare since he’s our firstborn, but after touring Innovative Child Development Center, we felt so much better. The place is super clean, the teachers and staff are incredibly warm, and we loved the activities and meal plans. Dean started at 15 months, and now at 20 months, he has made amazing progress! He can count from 1 to 10 in both English and Spanish, knows body parts, letters, and phonics, and is so much more social. He loves the food and has even gained healthy weight! Drop-offs were rough at first, lots of tears, but now he gets so excited every morning. He can’t wait to see his friends and teachers, and when we pick him up, he greets us with a big smile and happily says goodbye to his teachers. One of the things I absolutely love is the app they use to update us throughout the day. They post everything, playtime, learning sessions, meals, even diaper changes and handwashing with pictures! It’s so reassuring to see proof that they’re really doing everything they say they are. Getting those updates makes us so happy because even though he’s away from us, we still get to see what he’s up to! He’s also become so independent, eating on his own, sitting properly at his little table, and even drinking from an open cup without spilling. We’re beyond amazed! We’re so grateful for the love and care from the teachers and staff. Innovative Child Development Center has truly been the best place for our little boy! ❤️

The staff are caring and professional. I felt safe leaving my daughter in their care. Trust is everything and they have mine. The app they use let's you see what activity they are doing through out the day. That is such a helpful tool when communicating with my daughter; knowing what she did in the day. They helped me by working with her character so she will be a bit more independent and ready for public school. I am so thankful for their caring service in such important work.

Innovative Child Development Center is one of the best daycare programs in Mission. With it’s Scholastically motivated curriculum my son was able to keep everything he learned in school AND then some. Absolutely fantastic with documenting every detail of the day with notifications that allow you to stay aware of your child’s progress. The teachers were kind and very patient with my child. I felt very safe leaving my child in the care of Innovative. My child was able to enjoy everything that Innovative had to offer and I highly recommend for anyone who works as late as I do. Will be re enrolling him for next summer.

My son attended the daycare off and on for about two years. Towards the end of our time there (because I refused to send him back) there were suspicious marks on his arm. After reporting the daycare to CPS and licensing, the staff seemed to be retaliating not only against me, but also my son. After viewing several days of camera footage, it was apparent that this is not a safe and caring place for kids despite what the owner tried to convince me of. The emotional needs of children are not met and from what I witnessed in the videos, the children are not monitored appropriately which caused my son to fall several times (which I was not appropriately informed) and teachers were never seen smiling or showing any type of love and attention considering they're toddlers. The smiles at the front desk fade away when the children are in the classroom and the parents are out of sight. As a parent I encourage you to look into the inspection and compliance history that is posted on the TX Human Health and Human Services website for the citations. I am not posting this review with ill intention, rather simply sharing my experience with other parents.

Great school with a fun educational learning environment with accommodating staff and faculty. My son who requires speech therapy was accommodated by the school and each time he came home from the daycare he would be such a chatter box. My daughter enjoyed learning and was excited to implement what she learnt at home. The staff and faculty made me feel comfortable in leaving my babies there each day by providing necessary information and keeping me posted with their day to day progress. I'm so grateful we found such a pleasant and productive institution! I would definitely recommend!
