Iris Daycare in Sunnyvale

My daughter Millie has been going to Iris since she was 1-year-old, and now that one year has passed by we couldn’t be happier. As all the other parents, we spent a lot of time searching for daycares last year. I had a 7-page Google doc with all the daycares I toured and all the research I’ve done. We chose Iris because of how clean, organized, and bright it is, the huge collections of books and toys, and most importantly, Millie loved the place and started play there immediately during our tour. We clearly made the right decision. I will only share the data points I could observe: First, Millie absolutely loves going to school. She mentions Katsia and her friends all the time at home. She sings on her way to school. And I thought that’s the best testimonial of how good Iris is. Second, we can observe how she grew and developed in one year. We only speak Mandarin at home, and are pleasantly surprised to see that she becomes trilingual - she now speaks and sings in English and Russian, while her Mandarin development is uninterrupted. We are amazed to see her sing and dance passionately, know how to count and paint, play with all sorts of toys, and most importantly, express herself and socialize with others (and even how to take care of younger babies!) At her 2nd birthday, Millie mingled with all the 50+ guests, talked, entertained, and played with all the other kids. And we knew she learned all this because of Katsia and her team. You can tell Katsia and her team really love kids. I can see that Millie is happy, makes silly faces, has strong opinions, and has a quirky sense of humor, all because Katsia and team showered her with love and respect so that she could be herself. I cannot thank them more. I would absolutely send my second kid to Iris if we were to have one, and I have recommended Iris to my friends and colleagues.

We absolutely love Iris Daycare and Katsia! Our daughter is always so happy at drop-off to go play with her friends, and they’re always doing different engaging and educational activities every day. Our daughter regularly comes home with cute crafts and art projects. Katsia is so sweet, communicative, understanding, and engaging with this age group. We consider ourselves so lucky to have had a spot in this daycare for the past year!

My 1-year old started full-time care at Iris a few months ago, and we could not be more thrilled.  Miss Katia is, simply, amazing.  The energy, positivity, and love she brings to each child is totally evident in how she cares for and interacts with them.  For instance, and pickup, Miss Katia tells me about my son's sleep, habits, play, and any new developments.  Honestly, this level of individualized attention I've never seen in a caregiver.  I was also amazed that my son was visibly excited by dropoff within 4 days of enrollment.  This is his first time at daycare, and Miss Katia had him completely tear-free. The playspaces at Iris are bright, clean, and inviting.  Katia's huge outdoor backyard gives the kids lots of room to explore and exercise, and her colorful and bright play-areas offer lots of stimulation indoors.  The kids always seem happy and curious at dropoffs and pickups, and I've noticed them developing friendships with each other.  It gave me such relief every day of work to know that my son was being cared for in such a stimulating, caring environment.

My daughter started Iris daycare when she was 18 months old I can't stress enough how great this place is! Is it bigger than most of the home-based daycares we toured. Kids have different zones to play and numerous toys, arts and crafts activities to do. Katia provides a lot of sensory games and arts which is great for kids development. They sing a lot of songs, read books. My daughter learnt her ABCs and count to 10 there. There is huge but private and shaded backyard with various playground structures, balance bikes, cars. Kids are never bored there. They spend a lot of time there, do some crafts outside as well. We have no issues with food, my kid love everything Katia and her helpers cook. Katia and her helpers create a wonderful atmosphere on holidays - they decorated the house beautifully, kids do theme arts, dress up, celebrate with songs. Overall, everything is clean, new, well-maintained and organised. Katia is a huge support for parents. We really love her sunny personality. You can tell that she loves what she is doing and kids love her back. Every day my daughter was happy to go there, to meet Katia and her friends. Thank you Iris daycare for such a great time!

I was so lucky to find IRIS Daycare. KATYA keeps the place immaculate, cooks home made HEALTHY food and provides age-appropriate activities. I highly recommend
