The gym is nice with good quality equipment. The personal trainers have zero social awareness for the people working out around them while they help their clients. Basically got pushed out of the way while trying to start my mobility routine by the worker. They get extremely close to you and just stare at you like you’re the one in the wrong.

The YMCA is good in theory. They have a lot.... to offer. Sadly, the hours are weird. Stuff isn't available or turned on at the pool unless a certain number of people are here... which they never are.
This place is mainly good for working parents who want to grab a workout before heading home or single people. I have two children and we homeschool. There is not a good option for parents who have older children that are too young to go to a class but too old for the 5 and under child watch. There is a kid's gym that will watch kids, but the hours are limited.
Yes, they have classes and sports teams for kids, but the prices are similar to any local community center that offers the same, and I wouldn't have so far to drive. 🤷♀️
I am giving them one more star than I would have because they called me about my review which shows they do care!

Myself along with close to 600 members were told that starting January 1st 2025 our membership were no longer active. I personally was told by several of the staff that it was United Healthcare who was completely responsible for this as they have made this location a Premier location. After close to one hour on the phone with United Healthcare trying to make sense of it, I was told the reason we all were not active anymore was because the YMCA did not renew the contract for this year. I then called and requested a call back from someone concerning this at the YMCA. I received a call from a Sharon at the YMCA, who initially put the blame on United Healtcare but finally admitted to me that she did not negotiate with the insurance company last year and probably will not work with Insurance companies next year. She suggested I drive to another YMCA that is 35 minutes away so myself and my disabled husband could go to the Jamerson 49% of the time. This has left many older and disabled elderly people out of luck. Even if they would have negotiate a small co pay, it would have been a much kinder thing to do. They represent a religious organization. Apparently this is truly not the case.

Get for the kids during the winter. They have to pass a swim test to be allowed to curtain parts of the pool as well as the 2 slides (which I don't have pictures of) Green Band for 2/3 foot deep, buckets and 1 slide. Red Band for anywhere and both slides. They have swim noodles for everyone as well. Me and the hubby like to enjoy the hot tub for a while.
They can also play in the gym or workout with you but my kids just love to swim. we go in the family locker room unless it's full then we'll separate into the girls& boys locker rooms.
Only bad thing is you smell chlorine for the next couple days.

My autistic son run to the boys bathrooms one time and my husband was belittled and scolded by a staff member for following him there my question is what would he have done in that situation or people with disability are not allowed there?I was soo disappointed .
