Jump Start Early Learning Academy of Englewood

We have LOVED Jumpstart for our kiddo. He has been there from 1.5-3 years old. At each stage, the teachers have been supportive of where he’s at and helped him learn and grow, from potty training to social skills. He has been in Miss Tiani’s classroom for the past few months and she has really helped him navigate the terrible twos. Thanks Miss T and everyone for making our little guy excited to go to school each day.

One of the most friendly and positive childcare centers I have ever been to! Just walking in we feel welcomed and all the staff is so friendly! I receive daily updates from my son’s teachers through the ELV app and they always give me quick information about his day at pick up as well. I highly recommend this childcare facility! 😊

A great place for your kids to learn and advance themselves at any age. All the teachers are amazing and helpful. Definitely a daycare that I enjoy sending my kid to. I love the owners too, they are always providing the parents with the best of resources.

Extremely Disappointed with Lack of Supervision and Care I enrolled my child at Jump Start Early Learning Academy of Englewood hoping to find a safe, nurturing environment. Unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of frustrating and concerning. Here are the issues I encountered: 1. Minimal Supervision On multiple occasions, I observed that my child was left wandering around the play area without any staff member keeping a close watch. There were moments when two or three children seemed completely unattended, which is extremely alarming for a facility that’s supposed to prioritize children’s safety. During pick-up, I noticed children bickering or getting rough with one another while the teacher’s attention was elsewhere. No one appeared to intervene promptly. 2. Lack of Genuine Care When I raised concerns about my child feeling uncomfortable or coming home upset, the staff offered very generic responses like, “We’ll keep a closer eye,” but I never saw any actual improvement in the following days. It felt like they were more concerned about dismissing my worries rather than addressing the root issues. I expected a caring approach, but I often felt brushed off. 3. Poor Communication Communication between the staff and parents seemed disorganized. I rarely received updates on my child’s day or any incidents that happened, even if it involved injuries or notable behavior changes. When I tried to schedule meetings to discuss my concerns, it took multiple attempts to get a response. Once they finally agreed to meet, they often rushed through the conversation, leaving many of my questions unanswered. 4. Inadequate Staff-to-Child Ratio 5. Limited Activities and Engagement 6. Reluctance to Accept Responsibility Whenever I raised a complaint about supervision, the staff would shift blame or offer excuses like “We’ve never heard this from any other parent.” This unwillingness to take my concerns seriously made me feel both frustrated and unheard. Overall, my child’s time at Jump Start Early Learning Academy of Englewood left me worried about their well-being and development. If you’re considering this facility, I strongly recommend observing the classroom environment firsthand and asking detailed questions about supervision and staff protocols. It’s crucial to ensure your child will be both cared for and safe at all times, and unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

We’re so grateful for the care and love Miss Tiahni gives our son Krishiv every day. She has such a kind, patient way with the kids, and it’s clear how much she genuinely cares. Our child has grown so much- socially, emotionally, and in their communication and we know a big part of that is thanks to her. It means so much to know our little one is safe, happy, and supported.
