Kiddie Academy of Lakewood Ranch

I was hesitant to write this review because I prefer to keep my name offline, but I feel compelled to warn other parents. If you care about your child’s well-being, stay far away from this place. 1. Health and Safety Concerns – My 3-year-old son started attending in early February. Within just a few days, he caught the flu. By the second week, he developed ringworm. This raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene practices at the school. 2. Uncaring and Unresponsive Staff – One morning, when my wife was dropping off our son, he became upset and didn’t want to stay. He cried so hard that he eventually vomited all over her. Shockingly, not a single staff member stepped in to help, comfort him, or even offer something to clean up the mess. My wife had to go into his classroom to ask for napkins, and even then, no one came to assist or console our son. Feeling completely abandoned by the staff, she decided to take him home. When she later called the school to express her frustration, their only response was to ask if he was sick. That was the final straw. We immediately withdrew him from the school, only to find that they still charged us for the rest of the week, billed us for an additional week, and kept our deposit. This experience was beyond disappointing—it was unacceptable. I urge all parents to think twice before enrolling their child here.

I’ve been really disappointed with my experience at Kiddie Academy. When we started my 13-month-old was allowed to wear a jacket outside in 80-degree weather. They were even idiotic enough to send a pic through the app of him wearing it outside thankfully. Who knows what happens not on camera. I’ve also had sunscreen for my child over there and although they claimed to reapply sunscreen, I’ve noticed they don’t. The staff turnover is constant, making it hard to trust the care my child receives. On top of that, my son was left in wet peed pants for an extended period without anyone noticing, and after an accident, he was allowed to walk around without shoes. There’s also a policy that doesn’t allow children to leave for appointments and return after 11 a.m., which forces parents to choose between work and important appointments. With rising costs and declining care quality, it’s becoming harder to justify sending my child here. Would not recommend.

My 20-month-old has been thriving here. You can tell she is loved by the teaching staff and greatly enjoys playing with her friends. They teach the kids invaluable social and coordination skills which are critical at this age. Finally, the owner of this place was very welcoming to my family and put us at ease in making a big decision.

We absolutely LOVE this place! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed by the staff, and it immediately felt like a safe and happy place for my little one. The teachers and assistants are just incredible. My toddler has had the most amazing teachers, and they’ve been so patient, kind, and genuinely invested in his growth and happiness. They always make time to share little updates about his day in the app, and it’s clear how much they care about every child. The space is wonderful—bright, clean, and so thoughtfully designed for little ones to explore and learn. There’s always something fun and engaging happening, whether it’s art projects, storytime, or outdoor play. I love how they incorporate different activities that help with social skills, creativity, and just letting toddlers be toddlers. It’s such a relief knowing my child is in a place where he’s not only cared for but also thriving. I’m so grateful to have found this daycare—it truly feels like an extension of our family. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a nurturing, fun, and safe environment for their little one!

We decided to enroll our child at Kiddie Academy two weeks ago for part-time care. Everything was going well until today when I received a call informing me that my child had a “blue spot on his forehead”. Concerned, I immediately went to pick him up and requested to see the security camera footage to understand how it happened. However, they denied my request, which raises serious concerns. For the cost of this facility, I expected a safe and transparent environment. This was only his sixth day attending, and he’s already coming home with a significant injury. Due to this experience and their lack of transparency, we are withdrawing him immediately. Parents deserve peace of mind when leaving their children in someone else’s care, and unfortunately, that trust has been broken.
