Kids First Therapy Center

We had a very disappointing experience with this therapy center. My son was evaluated for services and clearly qualified due to delays in motor skills. They told us they’d get back to us after the new year—but they never did. I had to follow up myself in February, only to be told they didn’t have a spot because a therapist was on maternity leave. They said they might be able to squeeze him in if there were cancellations, but my son needed consistent care, not to be treated like a filler on standby. If they didn’t have space, they should have never done the intake. A few times, they called saying they could fit him in, but by then I had already enrolled him in preschool to ensure he was getting services somewhere, plus he also was going through a lot of medical testing at the time. Then, out of nowhere, I received a letter saying they had “discharged” him because he hadn’t been seen or they couldn’t reach me in time. Discharged from what? He never even started services. The entire situation was a complete waste of time and incredibly disheartening. We waited months only to be let down. I don’t know if this is their usual process, but I would not recommend this place. Be honest with families—don’t schedule intakes if you don’t have time or staff. If you’re short a therapist, don’t promise care you can’t provide. Families deserve transparency and respect, especially when children need timely intervention.

From the moment you walk in the door, you are treated by kind and friendly staff. Kids First is organized, supportive, helpful and knowledgeable. Our daughter loved it there and we are so grateful for Ms. Becky. She made "therapy" fun and our daughter didn't even realize she was "working" on goals. I highly recommend to all families!!!

Kids First has been nothing but incredible to our girls and our family. We have been so blessed to have this program with our girls having Torticollis!! Their program has stuck by us no matter what and made us feel like a family. Our therapist has been incredible and also has become part of our family. The level of care given is fabulous and their professionalism is outstanding! I will always suggest them to anyone I know who could benefit from their program.

My son had therapy at Kids First for 2 years. We did speech and OT (food therapy). We were extremely pleased with all the services. He loved going there and loved his therapists, especially Ms. Julie. We only stopped going because he started Kindergarten and our availability became so limited. Our last day was very sad and emotional for all of us. I would definitely recommend Kids First for therapies.

Kids First evaluated both of my children when I was worried that they were having problems at school and home. I can see the progress that they're making by going to their therapy sessions. I'm also learning the reasons why my children were having those problems and what I can do as a parent to help at home.
